Chaos;Head's art style is a little to generic for my taste, but its an earlier(?) work so I won't nitpick, I play it mostly for the writing.

It's... pretty bad. Savor it while it lasts. The first half or so is remarkably good in terms of tone and atmosphere.

There's one particular plot twist which is incredibly stupid. I'm referring to the nurse at the hospital who also JUST HAPPENS to be Takumi's online MMO buddy who is somehow also a crazed psychotic murderer or something.

That was retarded but they who ting about making the game about delusions and how Takumi deals with himself was fantastic but then making them into reality with lolscience was a bad move. I liked the game better when it was part horror part thriller part psychological battle.
The whole thing felt like it needed another 6 months to polish it up because you can really see the effort put into the beginning of the game and the character introductions.

Oh yeah, I agree with you. It started going downhill once they introduced the fake science stuff. I just found the whole nurse thing to be particularly egregious.

Another thing that really bothered me, Why the hell was Rimi going to kill Takumi in the end? She didn't want the fake Takumi putting any more stress on the real Takumi, but the real Takumi was practically dead by that point. He dies like thirty seconds after that point anyway, so it's not like killing the fake Takumi would have changed anything.

Judging where you're at I doubt it would be very soon. My favorite english translated ones are Symphonic Rain, Inganock, and the Muv-Luv saga.
