We had one about 7 months ago. It died pretty quickly.

Besides, WoW is shit.

Oh there is? Neat.

I'm US, so I'd join if I knew what server and faction they were on.

>> No.7592249

I'll start a /jp/ guild. I'm US. So EU would have to make their own.

I'd like a PvP server, you guys fine with that?

I wish I could still like WoW...but it just keeps getting easier and simpler, and it was never very complex to begin with.
For every good idea in Cata there was a bad one, and I ended up disliking the bad ones more than I liked the good.

>Boss abilities will be available via the boss’ page, either by clicking on the map or by going through the Dungeon tab. The Dungeon tab on the boss’ page will list out all major spells, abilities, and phases for that fight.

I'm awestruck.
Is the...no, I can't even try to be witty about this. The game tells you exactly what the bosses do before you fight them. Amazing.

>> No.7592454

>>7592421
There are many things you could complain about, but I don't think that's one of them. It just erased the need for searching for boss tactics online, using deady boss mods and 50% of Atlas loot. Those two addons were around since at least TBC (unless that's when you left).

But it's very good - for PRO CHINESE PVP players who don't like to waste time on pve it's very helpful.

>>7592347
Omg... I remember such moments.... Even at start of WoTLK BRD was hard to do because noobs were crying after 30 minutes that their moms are calling them to sleep. And how long it was taking to find group... And when you found group everyone was Turk or Swedish expect you ....

The journal doesn't tell you what to do anyway, it tells you what the boss is going to do but that's it - you're just going to look up that on >insert tactics website of your choice> anyway.

That said, this isn't /jp/ related.

>> No.7592461

>>7592450
Not exactly - it just have descriptions of spells that boss is using and some informations about boss lore.

>> No.7592466

>>7592454
But this is IN THE GAME. The game itself tells you how to win. It's like if when you enter a boss room in Mega Man, the boss goes through it's full pattern once or twice before the fight starts.

No - the same was in deadly boss~ and since WoTLK such alerts were at many bosses. But these are something like "BOSS is doing XXXX attack!!! Run!".

Most of people had addons for this anyway.

>> No.7592541

>>7592466
I wouldn't really call that a fair comparison.
In Megaman, no one is relying on you not to fuck up.
In multiplayer games, it's nice if the person playing at least knows what they're doing. It's the same with fighting games. Who wants to play with someone who hasn't even played 1 player yet?
I'd be shocked if you raided and never read any tactics first.

Addons did all those for you in the past.
No raider worth their salt would be without these addons.
You complain that Blizzard is trying to remove addon use which is in a way a compromise to security.

If you want something complicated/ofuscated go play tabletop classic D&D.

>> No.7593216

>>7592714
The journal has a marker in the 'book' next to an ability giving you a rough idea of what it does. It doesn't give you alerts like DBM / bigwigs does. It's something to look at before a fight to see what's up - which, if you're raiding - you should be doing anyway. It's zero use in fight.

Anyone raiding has a boss mod and knows all this stuff in advance, the journal is no use to them. Anyone not raiding is doing pvp where the journal is no use, or dungeons - and if you're complaining about dungeon difficulty you may as well complain that lvl 20 quest zones are. True, but who cares?

>> No.7593304

everyone except the people doing hour zero testing on the ptr and world first attempts on the final end bosses already had deadly boss mod and probably watched videos of how it's done. gms even gave raiders hints about boss abilities in the past regularly. the original top guilds which actually killed stuff in vanilla has blizzard developers and staff in them feeding them strategies.

saying blizzard made alerts are making it too simple is beyond stupid at that point in the game. if anything they should just be in the game already since everyone is forced to use deadly boss mod. how "elite" are you for downloading an addon that does exactly the same.
