Finally had the will to go download and install "don't take it personally babe, it just ain't your story" and finished it a few hours earlier.

It was... alright, I guess. When I started out I found the character sprites really nice and thought it the CG would be the same, but... I was wrong. Ugh. Also, It's a shame that I you can't really "save" Isabella from "dying". And who knew scaring someone by pretending to be a ghost could lighten him/her up?

Actually, one of the things I like about Grisaia so far is that it admits its own lewdness without falling into the nukige abyss. You have Amane masturbating to your smell in your room, and it doesn't even get a CG, only a funny scene shortly after that.

What I'd really like to do is automatically paste text into a Firefox window so I can use Rikaichan. Bonus points for pasting it into an editable text field. Anyone know of a way to do this? I know I can have AGTH copy text to the clipboard and manually paste it into Google Translate or something like that, but all that extra clicking gets annoying fast.

The extra stage with all the 女戦士 is pretty good I think...Just have either angels or people with 決死 in front with 手加減 equipped, and use your weak people to finish them off. It should give 50 exp a kill. That works for a while at least.

Well, most people just think the fact he forgot about it ruins everything, but I found it the perfect way to tie up everything. Mecha battles were never meant to be the focus of Muv Luv, the strongest overall theme was the clash of Extra Takeru lifestyle with a wartorn universe. In a sense, the "duty" of remembering everything that happened (Kasumi notwithstanding) is thrown upon the reader at the end, and I liked that. Also, contrary to what people say about Sumika being selfish for looping Takeru until he chooses her, it shows just how much Sumika selflessly loves him: after reaching her own ending with him, she puts him in a sort of harem dimension where he has equal chances to end up with any other heroine and sort of lets him decide all over again because that's the best thing for everyone.

Honestly if everything was as good as Moon/Terra, it could easily have been one of my favorite.
It's not though, the first half of the game really is pretty average, it's never downright bad but there were several point where I didn't felt compelled to continue.
For a small review

Common route: Far too long for its own good and dull for the most part (for me), there were a few pretty funny moments and lot of foreshadowing but it should have been half its length. Also the Muppie sucks hard.

Kotori: Feel like the shortest route yet it's also pretty slow, it's a route that is really important in retrospect but as a standalone it's fairly weak.

Chihaya: The route with the most action, it's basically a continuous series of battle. At time it almost feel like reading a light novel in the way it feel pretty light and fast paced, but the lightness of the writing isn't really to my taste. Still a pretty entertaining route, but it could have been even better with more solid writing.

Lucia: While all the other routes add elements to the setting and introduce/solve some of the big mysteries, this route feel really disconnected.
There are also a lot of standard R07 stuff in that route like the unreliable narrator for no reason except create a shallow mystery or "Look I'm a drama-whore so I'll destroy humanity", I guess his fans would love that route.

Shizuru: It's where Rewrite start to get pretty good, among all the routes it's the most "Key-like" in a good way though it also has some pretty good action scenes, Shizuru herself is an awesome character.

Akane: It's the first route that really feel like "Romeo" and it's one awesome route, it develops a lot of concepts that were introduced previously but in a very dark way, this route really doesn't feel chuuni at all like say Chihaya's, it's closer to say Muramasa in feeling.
Long yet almost no dull moments but it's so dark at time some people could be repulsed by it, personally I really loved it.

I won't talk about Moon or Terra since they are closer to the core of Rewrite and it's impossible to talk about them without spoiling a lot of things but they are also really, really good.

If I was to rate; Common/Kotori/Lucia/Chihaya = 7/10, Shizuru = 8/10, Akane/Moon/Terra = 9.5/10

Rain's route is like an introduction to the setting. Things get more complex in the other routes but it's still supposed to reveal a bit of the setting at the time with the peak being the last route of Dive2.
It's subdivided into routes but it's supposed to be played in a linear way with more and more stuff being revealed.
Also, most bad endings are better than the good endings, don't skip them.

Personally I had some problem with the plot itself and the way it was resolved in the third chapter, I expected more development, a bigger scope and the resolution felt a bit easy but I may have been expecting too much due to the huge story of ItsuSora from the same writer.

Just finished my first route (Kotori) since I read slow as fuck. Man the main route was boring as hell but I'm glad I didn't give up.

They should have introduced the main gist of the story (start of Inoue's disappearance) waaaayy before they did, and maybe cut out half of the completely random slapstick gags that only fill up space and feel completely at odds with the main storyline's writing.

Well, I'm a bit annoyed now that I've played the route of the only main heroine I was interested in due to an upcoming remake in the original game only for it to be pants on head retarded, and by the looks of the sample CGs looks to be mostly the same in terms of major events.

Well, I assumed Elegano won the character poll (few votes more than Rino-Reno), due to her route being the main route, and due to how her ancestor sage Enosell seemed to be the main culprit of the game, and I expected her route to be about that. On the other hand I didn't know anything what to expect of Flare's so it seemed a better choice to do before Elegano.

Well I just finished Rewrite, I did Moon + Terra without rest, took me about 15 hours.
I'm just physically and emotionally tired now, I didn't expect this game to become this intense.
I really lost it when Kotarou went to save Akane at the end of Terra, that was some god tier writing there, the voice acting for Kotarou was also really excellent.
If I have some complain it's that some really important characters don't have voices or standing pictures when some useless characters like Midou have, Itaru was too lazy maybe?
Otherwise I have some new respect for Key or Romeo, Rewrite definitely has some problems but who care when it gives you something as good as Terra.

Who were your favorite characters? By the end I was really fond of Nishikujo, quite a feat considering I ended up hating her after the first route I played (Chihaya).

Akane was also a really interesting character and Lucia despite not having much screentime outside her route was really cute.
