I can understand Reisen, but Komachi?

I love them too but I don't see how Kaguya could be in a fighting game when she's too busy browsing 4chan all day with me. You know, because she's mai waifu.

Kaguya is a NEET, Mokou only really has interest in fighting when she thinks Kaguya is involved. Neither really look into stuff.

Waiting for the translation that explains what Komachi was doing. I was going to explain that Patchy is a me too character designed to add to the other SDM characters, but then I realised China is much more suited for a fighting game (being a largely melee based Touhou).

In anycase, Kaguya is a sheltered princess in exile, she doesn't get involved in much at all. Mokou less so and I guess she could be roped in easier but then there are a whole bunch of other characters left out that have the same potential.

I suppose ZUN did pick some of them out of a hat.

Komachi was just bored, and fighting is always better than working.

I don't see why Yuka couldn't have fit. She would surely be annoyed at the storms wrecking her grove, and would be interested in fighting anyone powerful enough to do things like that. She seems better than Komanchi anyway.
