I use Netdrive on my laptop, it's a program that mounts an FTP server as a drive, and you can stream/view random parts of a file with it, just like a regular hard drive. Then I have my computer at home hosting an FTP server. I save/view things directly to my desktop. If going to places where they check items, I simply remove my server/username/password.

This is mainly for space concerns, though, as my laptop doesn't have a lot of space.
