I was really inspired of Griffon's new Yakumo figures, I pre-ordered all of them without any hesitation, then I got dat Jewkari, got refund and canceled Chen and Ran.
I wanted to start my toehoe collection with them, but eventually everything went wrong. NO TOEHOES FOR ME, HURR.

That's because it takes shitton of money to make your games' graphics look "current generation consoles"-level. So developers are playing it safe and switching to handhelds where the bar is lower.
And Sony is particularly guilty here because they discourage low budget games on PS3 (note how rare are VN ports to PS3 compared to PS2. Even Xbox360 has more VNs and it has crappy presence in Japan).

Hey guys, I have this conspiracy theory going on about the Griffon figs.

You know how they're supposed to be exclusive to the Japanese market, hence the reason retailers besides amiami and a select few doesn't carry them, right? Well, what if the one that we're actually getting is actually the defects that didn't made it through the QC for the Japs? So the Japs get all those pristine, QC'ed figs, while us foreigners got left the craps that failed QC.

How possible is that? Were there any review from the Nips about shitty QC and such?

To be fair, so far I only know one unique case of QC problem with the Yukari fig (DEM FINGER). The other problem related to Yukari is her parasol, rather a QC problem, its more like a design fault.

This fig is tempting me sorely, but 14.1k at Yokatta and 15k at BiJ. The MISB is 12k and its wave.... fucking polystone. Not sure if worth it.

MFC is useful because of their databank, also it have user pictures that are useful to know what will you actually get.

I use it to keep track of what I watch/have watched, since I tend to forget easy due to sheer volume. Sure, I could "not be a faggot" and use Notepad, but the interface is useful and brings up info that Notepad could never offer. I can also go on and check what I watched a while back in the interests of making recommendations for friends. MFC can be used for the same purpose and intentions as well.

If you're going to hate something, hate the community, not the actual tool and those who use it. I myself ignore the forums and non-informative comments, and have a perfectly fine time using it. I mean, plenty of people hate 4chan in general, but I still post on /jp/ and have a fine time ignoring /b/ and /v/.

You should see the Gift up close, though. She's really, really, really well made. In this day of finished products never looking as good as the prototype, there's something to be said for that. As a work of art, she is impressive.

I have the Triumphant Excalibur and it's not a very pretty sculpt. It's well done and high quality, but aesthetically I just don't like the pose or the expression.

The same can't be said for the Avalon or the Caliburn by Good Smile, though. I've put off buying them so many times that now I've just sort of lost the steam (and the financial means) to do so.

It's really an unknown quantity to me because I have no idea how to compare 2005 and current day production quality for a company I don't really know anything about.

I would suggest to anyone interested in the Clayz Saber rerelease because of the new pictures to wait until it actually comes out before deciding. They certainly do look better, but so did the promotional images for the initial release.
