That's an ethnocentric and ignorant statement. Ethnocentric because you're probably using the word "notable" to mean "how it influenced your part of the world" implying that influencing their own people or doing cool stuff like leading slave rebellions, or horrible stuff like committing mass genocide and leading dictatorships isn't notable unless its done to non-Sub-Saharan persons. Its ignorant because you don't know that African tribal leaders, Kings and Empires were influential in terms of trading natural resources between the European countries and the near east/Arabs. Some of them supported/resisted the world's biggest forced migration (the slave trade) which last I checked pretty much influenced the economies of some of the current world powers. Yes they have produced leaders who widely effected the world. Not going to start listing them because that's beside the point of the thread and will derail it.

Yeah, this game really isn't focusing on important leaders/people so much as popular ones. Bismarck would be in here if we considered important leaders. Plus, you can't deny that since this is for a Japanese audience, it's mostly made up of people Japan cares about, hence the largest group being Japanese characters.

Just wanted to say, I see your point. Things like that happen, I just wish more artists will take advantage of the neat characters you encounter in other myths/stories. The one franchise that did that to my satisfaction was Fate/Stay. That included an Arabian hero, an Irish hero and Angry Manyu. Even this game OP posting about does a lot by adding Aztecan/Mayan heroes and Eastern European cultural figures.

In Photoshop, put alpha in layer over jpg, go to Channels tab (Window->Channels) and click small "Load channel as selection" button on the bottom of it.
Go back to Layers tab, hide alpha, select jpg layer and click "Add layer mask". Loaded selection becomes transparency. Also, make sure jpg layer isn't "Background" because "Add layer mask" will be greyed out. Double click on a layer to un-background it.

On release, it had forced save scumming nearly every turn. They eventually patched that out by making it trivially easy and there's almost no randomness to the game or rewards for character clears, so there's very little reason to ever replay it.
