7505507 No.7505507 [Reply] [Original]

I want to learn how to make good posts and threads with many replies, because when I make threads I never get many replies.

So what kind of thread should I make to get replies? Should I create blog threads? Or maybe image threads? Threads with own OC? Or simply try adding some colloquial memes that are currently popular to make my threads more popular?

>> No.7505512

Post an anime screencap and no text.

>> No.7505514

Things that are interesting to discuss.

If you can't think of those, then there's no need for you to create a thread.

>> No.7505517

The only threads that get many replies on /jp/ are troll and retard threads, unfortunately.

There is only so much you can talk about with visual novels and Touhou.

What if I didn't watch anime since few years and I didn't visit /a/ since long time? I even don't know what kind of anime is popular now...

Such is the tragic but enjoyable life of an autistic floorshitting faggot.

If you ask me, it's about making threads that are both interesting enough with topics that are broad enough; and not make things too limited or complicated.

Sometimes, making a few easy-to-understand statements or posting an interesting board-related image might be good enough. But in the end, I honestly can't see that many patterns in what makes a thread popular. It seems that the posters in the thread are just as important as the OP, and posters and their interests vary from day to day.

However, please try to not limit yourself or have too narrow expectations of what kind of threads /jp/ users might enjoy. The only thread I've ever made that got more than a hundred replies was the thread I was the least certain /jp/ users would enjoy. Don't give up, and good luck!

>> No.7505561

The best thing is to not post any text. Just post a picture of a Touhou, a VN, an anime or anything /jp/ related and watch as the discussions just start.

>> No.7505566

>>7505561
It seems it can't just be any image though. There needs to be something with it that catches people's attention.

One example is the Myourenji bath-time thread from yesterday that got a decent amount of replies, but another example is the anon posting the SSiB ballroom scene many months back. I really enjoyed that thread for some reason, just a lot of good, laid-back Touhou-related discussion. But like mentioned before, it takes a good day on /jp/ for those threads to take of.

>The only thread I've ever made that got more than a hundred replies

Multiple 100+ thread master race here

I dunno how I do it though, it's a gift maybe

Cute Byakuren, by the way.

>> No.7505572

OP, this is /jp/. Just post something Touhou or VN related, and don't say anything that would make anyone consider you a "normal". The stupider you make it, the more replies you'll get.

It also helps if you make really obscure references to something within said VN or touhou. This makes other /jp/ers you're one of them.

>> No.7505574

I can't believe there are people on /jp/ who actually keep track of how many 100+ reply threads they've made. I thought we were all masters of this shit.

>> No.7505584

I don't know. I rarely make threads. Don't worry about making threads with tons of replies though.

>> No.7505585

>>7505572

y'know, on second thought, if you seem like a "normal", /jp/ will definitely tell you so, which means that you'll be getting replies. And then someone else will come along and mention something else. Which in turn will lead to more replies. Huh. I guess it really doesn't matter what you post. I don't even know anymore.

I've only ever made one, and I've made like 5 threads in my whole time on /jp/. It's not very hard to keep track of.

It could be anything, related or not, deep or shallow. Even a troll thread can evolve into something interesting. That's why idiots who bash and shit over everything that doesn't fit into their аutistiс standards are the worst.

>> No.7505610

I rarely make threads and they never get far. I usually make them about something that's been fascinating me recently and don't expect many people to care.

>> No.7505614

How about just make 100 threads with no replies?
If you think about it, one thread must be worth more points that a single reply post (even less if saged!).
As for a subject, I guess some random mmorpgs or memes now popular in newspapers will do.

It's okay man, I love metathreads on /jp/ too. Despite the fact that half of my posts get reported, I've learned how to carefully tiptoe along the border of shitposting in order to avoid pissing off the janitors/mods (>implying /jp/ has mods) enough to get a range ban on my dynamic IP. God damn I miss /ghost/.

The other half of my posts seem to be held in high regard by the /jp/ community, so go figure. Got thing I don't use a trip.

If you want a thread with more than 150+ replies, then make a thread about /a/.

True story. The last one I made about /a/ had about 260 replies before I deleted it.

I blame social media for all this.

OK... sit down for a while and listen... what you needed is to do the following...

Get a secure tipcode
This way, people can identify you easily. They'll get to know you better and reply appropriately in time...

Use Ellipses
It's been said that ellipses makes posts more interesting to read and will give this rather intelligent aura to your posts...

Stop caring
Biased Drawthreads, Flavor of the month threads, Touhou threads even KS spamming... you don't like them since you hate them... you do what?... sage, report, insult?... Oh no... the proper way to deal with this is to create your own thread that caters to your interests... Untallented Drawfags can stay in their own draw threads. Koroko can have her own thread, so is Saten and so are you... as much as possible, try not to mess with their thread... you know... don't be an intolerant muslim. /jp/ is large enough to accommodate all of us...

Stay away from /jp/ filter
Only faggots use filters and add ons... this is 4chan, what do you expect... CAREBEARS, MY LITTLE PONY and RAINBOW BRITE!?... Oh no... this is 4chan and this is /jp/... You're basically dealing with Dawson's Creek, Seinfeld, Friends and Beverly Hills 90210 mashed with Denver, the Last Dinosaur rolled into one pile of shit... and that pile of... that thing is what makes /jp/ great!... You want family friendly browsing experience?... Go to /bun/... there, they have force anonymoose... besides, you could run into risks of getting your computer infected by some random malware loaded in that filter... who knows...

OK I go now

"POOF" (Disappears)

In every other board, trolling is how you get lots of replies.

Trolling does not work in /jp/, so yeah.

>filter
Filter might just help someone to stop caring. Not everyone has such steel nerves as you, so it's better if they filter it and take it easy, than keep getting frustrated and shitting the board further.

I really like VOCALOID so I post news about the program and new characters but I usually get 2 posts that are not me.

I thought that /jp/ just didn't like VOCALOID but then I see Miku porn threads and that thread about the studio deen VOCALOID looking so cute with 100+ replies I start to question my posting style.

I don't really want to start a thread about Miku porn so maybe I should start posting pictures of the newly annouced VOCALOIDs.
