why you don't have a cat /jp/ ?

>> No.7468284

Because I don't want to fuck it.

>> No.7468282

I imagine a lot of people on /jp/ have cats.

>> No.7468288

I do, as a matter of fact, and will be getting another. My only concern is that since it is an older cat, I wonder how it will get along with my current cat.

Further down it clearly states less than 2% of cats are shedding the cysts at any given time, and that they take a couple of days to become infectious. So clean the litter box daily and this isn't an issue.

25? That must be fun, though if you just keep on picking up strays, you're going to get a lot of litters showing up at once unless you immediately spay/neuter them. Though thinking, I remember when 4 of mine had litters, the sight of all of them sleeping together knocked me out.

I'd do the same, but there aren't many strays around.

There is only one cat I really liked. It was a Manx we named Mikey. Dark grey, black and with some white around the paws and face, he was odd. Unlike a typical manx with only a stump of a tail, he had a few more inches but stuck in a hook shape.

No one knew how old he was, his original owners abused him and left him. My grandma took him in and I spent my childhood growing up with him in the house. Or close to it since he would come and go as he pleased and leave the occasional severed bird head on the doorstep as a gift..

Manxes usually do not make good pets, but he really loved my grandma. Whenever she walked the dog he would be at her heel following close behind or ahead, stopping when she stopped and coming when she called. She was always asked by those who saw it how she managed to train a cat to do that, and she just had to shrug and say she didn't do anything.

In the end, he lost quite a bit of weight and outlived the 17 (holy shit) year old german shepherd he walked with by a few more years.

I will never own one myself. I know enough from the other cats my grandma had to realize there will never be a replacement that comes close. He was the exception to cats being shitty pets.

I love my cat, it is so lovable, it waits for me at doors, meows all the time when it wants to go somewhere, wants a snack, wants to lay on my lap, etc. I wake up alot to see it curled in a ball right in front of me being all happy.
A few days ago I was watching a sporting event with my cat sleeping on my lap, and my team scored a crucial goal and I shot up like a rocket forgetting she was there and she went flying, but thankfully landed on my bed...she just gave me a "Why?" look before going back to sleep....it was adorable.

Cats are the best, if only she could play touhou.
