Look, I still haven't given up on it...but I'm sure it comes to no surprise to ANYONE that most of the original team just DISAPPEARED. Don't give up hope, because I haven't, but I guess don't expect anything anytime soon.

Frankly hiring random people off 4chan usually never works most of the time for projects of this scale. Simply put, the people who post here just don't care enough usually to stay around long enough to see a project to fruition. Then there's the domino effect where one guy leaves and all the others wonder if they should just abandon ship as well.

You're probably better off looking for volunteers who already enjoy or have work experiencein whatever they do. Like an artist who actively draws and is able to do commissions with regularity or a programmer who has managed to scrap out a few games on his own already.

The problem that lies with that though is that those are generally the type of people you pay. Then again people who are actually paid and have contractual obligations usually don't just disappear unless they're a scam artist or something.

It's really damn hard to get a project going on the internet simply out of people's interests in it.

If you can somehow get people of professional skill to become interested in the project personally then you'd be golden. The chances of that are ludicrously low though.
