We encountered this issue with Beta release as well. Our LTP has stated that there is nothing of harm in the software, but that virus scanners tend to falsely flag programs that modify many file. This patch does that but only to FH install you specify.

Alright, 2 minutes after trying it :
- The game crashes if I try to enter the CG gallery in the Extras. And yes, I'm under japanese locale. It doesn't crash for the BGM Player and the rest though.
- The font is STILL unreadable (pic highly related). I mean, sure, I could play it with some efforts, but I'm so not gonna lose half of my eyesight for that.
- For some reason, the screen laaaaags whenever I try to access menus during the game, especially the system menu. And I don't exactly have a shit computer, I run Crysis 2 at max settings with 50+ fps just fine.
- Why didn't you remove Shou's voice ? Okay, you had your fun with the previous beta patch (epic troll XD etc) and we can remove it by ourselves with the .exe, but there was no reason to keep it in the final release. People already have a bad (understated) impression of your project because of the translation process, and that only makes it worse.

Anyway, the font is the major issue here. Look at what Edger did for the Canvas 2 patch : he used a READABLE font decently sized, even if it resulted in cutting off a few lines here and there. It was still much better than not being able to play the game at all.

http://www.mediafire.com/?9ur5a20laxj2dp2
Feel free to disassemble and inspect every byte of it; there's absolutely nothing malicious in there, and it's not even packed. Meanwhile, the other, proper AVs rightly find nothing wrong with it. And "Win32/Heri" should be read as "Win32/Herring", as in "Red Herring".

- Post system specs and more info about crashes (exception address and code, etc.) or we cannot look into the problem.
- See below.
- Someone at one of our other distributors complained about this issue with the Beta. Once again, post more info --- was there high CPU or HDD activity during the lag? Paranoid AV trying to scan every 3.8GB of files again?
- Many would not have realized the feature existed without it being on by default. Just like the fact that FF4 comes with a new interface by default even though many (including me) loathe to use it.

Search through the previous threads for a NoDVD version of FH.exe. Our patch works fine with it although we do not condone piracy.

Now, about the font. It was not chosen without some careful deliberation. It is a standard X11 terminal font, one that I use, and I chose it because it is both small and readable --- the latter I can attest to, since I spend many hours at the terminal daily. If you can find a better font, then we can adjust it for you.

It isn't a matter of competition. If one person translates something, it makes it so other interested parties move on to something else, usually because they're under the impression that the person translating isn't completely retarded. The translator has pretty much killed off any chance of being able to actually read it just because they're either doing on purpose or just that incompetent. The idea of using a online translator to do the initial translation isn't the most horrible idea, but doing so would normally require a number of proofreaders in order to fix all of the mistakes rather than simply patching a few things up and leaving the rest as complete shit. Either way, the final product sucks.

Google Translate is built on user-made dictionaries. Someone 'suggested' Bloody Murder as a better translation for kyaa than whatever was there before and probably got friends to appove it and voila, since it's a non-word that wouldn't be in a dictionary, you get an assinine 'translation' that would require a bunch of people downvoting it through Google Translate itself to change. And if you keep insisting that this whole patch was the output of a machine translator, that would be a compliment. If I were to assume that, then this would be the best machine translator output I've ever seen. If this was human translated, the translator could do better.
