not with cleric 150hp+ a second or bard 120hp+ a second for the party and buggy mob pathing. i soloed the 2nd dungeon as a mage at level 15.
Name is Pacifica if you ever get room, mostly run cleric (bard now I guess) or mage.
Helfire and Instant lightning is nuts enough, stacking ice on bosses as well is just icing on the cake.

You can stack the cleric hot 5 times or the bard hot 3 times. It seems like most people don't realize that it stacks at all.

Does anyone have some leveling advice?

Which is fastest? Solo? Grouping? Farming mobs? Do all quests? Or do quests until the monsters get weak then move on?

Class leveling is definitely dungeons. Mobs give = class and normal exp.
Normal level needs quest and normal mob grinding though you should get in a party if you can.

Do all quests, I was one of the highest levels for awhile with me as a mage running with a cleric friend. We two-manned all the instances, and tedious kill quests went fast with all the AoE.

If you are leveling with someone make sure to give them a dating invitation, you both get 10% XP bonus when you're in the same zone.

Mages are pretty cool with that spammable Storm Gust-like spell and Jupitel Thunder but I had an easier time taking multiple things with the Cleric for some reason. Probably need to work on keeping distance.

Playing Cleric in this game is like playing Medic in Battlefield 2: easymode.

I don't think my system can run this, I checked the minimum specs, and my video card and CPU seem a bit under the requirements. Also, my download speeds are god-awful (I have no idea why), so the download would take pretty much all day.

Is this worth it? I want an MMO to play, right now I'm just playing Champions Online, which is fun, but I'd like something to mix it up.

Clerics are invincible. They only run out of mana, and I have at least 200 mp pots in my inv. Basically just do HoT, cyclone spell spell cyclone HoT repeat.
Mages just abuse hellfire and bad pathing, but they also have the cyclone type spell (lighting web).

Hunters can solo a boss with the dot shot (penetration?) by just running in weird ways, etc.
The game is Grand Fantasia with towns I guess.

I don't think it's really worth it to AoE grind as a mage. They can't really take the hits, and there's no way to effectively kite the mobs.

I find it a lot easier to simply nuke the mobs down; I can usually kill them before they even me if I attack at the maximum distance.

The game in general is pretty easy. You won't have much of a problem I would think.

its not like you don't have aoe root and teleport.
for quest mobs a hellfire and lightning web is usually more than enough.

If they spawn in groups I just take them in groups. if they spawn spread out I just do fire->lightning or stagger fire and lightning between mobs to gather them for lightning web.

I think the only place to AoE is inside dungeons. In the fields the mobs respawn too fast to give you any breathing time between kills. Unless you had a cleric with you to heal you, but that's a different story.

Once you reach level 10 (or was it 15) you can become a Ranger. You will max out your job level before your character level can keep up, so expect to play a few different classes if you don't want to waste job experience.

don't forget that until your 20's you'll be maxing every job anyway.
Just do 3 or 4 aoe pulls as a mage, swap to cleric to hot yourself and kill a couple, go back to mage, etc.

I usually do my outside grinding as a melee type, because the casters and ranged dps own the dungeons and I haven't found any plate to tank.

Actually I just use potions between a few spells. It's tougher when you're almost ready to be able to use the next level of available potions because the lower level ones don't cut it as well anymore. But otherwise you can just spam potions easy enough.

Sure it costs gold and silver but there is really plenty of that around and if you're killing more stuff you get more gold and silver anyway.

If you time it right you can get 3 AoE's off before mobs crowd around you.
