Technically, he was a Shogunate but he controlled Japan anyway. He was never an emperor.
Fun fact: Tokugawa who succeeded Hideyoshi as the next Shogunate never sent a single man to Hideyoshi's campaign. Instead, he just waited for Hideyoshi's force to grow weaker and slowly subjugated weaker clans in Japan to his realm.

In no way am I frustrated with /jp/. I have disabilities and they are part of me. It is useless if I become frustrated with them; it will only take me longer to regain composer and to complete a task. It is an evil to have my mind and body struck with these disabilities, but it is a cross I must bear. Gumdo and Kendo have the same kanji and as a korean i should explain, haidong gumdo is normally accepted as a sport, and it origins from japan during Japanese rule of korea, koreans take pride of their nation and would never pretend to be japanese, in the video haidong gumdo is not pretending to be japanese, although that single page in japan expo is pretty retarded

Unfortunately Japan and South Korea are indeed vassals. I am not Japanese, but........has anyone ever thought about what Japan might be like if the Emperor still ruled Japan? Don't get me wrong I am a patriot to U.S.A's democracy, but there is corruption. In WW2 the Emperor was simply a tool for tojo's propaganda, which tended to happen a lot during the feudal era. If the Emperor himself would take charge of the goverment, instead off laying back and letting his generals run the show (Like every other Emperor) it just might be a peaceful and righteous rule with freedom to the people. In all honesty democracy has worked a lot better for Japan and whether its Imperialism or the feudal system Japan has little no success with them.......

Asmerica, and all the other countries that forced Japan to open their borders, had instilled the spirit of imperialism in Japan; in fact they them selfs were acting in the name of imperialism by forcing Japan to open thier borders . Japan kept to the spirit of imperialism through WW2, but they did so in an evil way. One must ask if starting war for land/riches and conquering land in the name of your King/Emperor or religion is just at all.....I don't believe it is.
