When you look forward in that position, you have to lift your head, so the chin doesn't even touch the ground. And the pillow is there for additional comfort.

I'm lying in this exact position right now as I type. Most of the weight is supported by the chest and spread elbows. It's really comfortable, actually. I never did it for an extended period of time, though.

What? That's how I lie maybe 10% of the time I'm on the computer. Which is a lot. It's not even remotely uncomfortable.

I do this sometimes, but it's not really comfortable for long periods of time. I usually sit laying against the backboard of my bed, with a bunch of pillows below me to form a comfy slope and support my back.
