It's not that much harder, really. You should be able to no miss the first 3 stages if you've done it on Easy.

I recently watched a replay of my first time beating MoF on easy and I did almost perfect until stage 5, where I died once to Sanae and had to bomb another time against her.

Then I get to Kanako and I'm doing almost perfect until the last spell card and I end up beating it with 0 power left and 2 lives (I had built up 5 or 6 before I got there).

After a 3 year break of any "normal" Touhou games, MoF comes out and has the best graphics, music, weapons system, and lunatic mode out of any TH games before it.

It definitely is the best game in the series so far. I doubt SA can top it, but I shall be looking foward to playing the full version.

So far SA seems to be a lot harder. Right now I can almost get to stage 4 in MoF normal without losing any lives or bombs (Aya and her puppy screw me over so I can't consistently get to stage 5 without continues) but a couple of the spell cards of Parsee and Yugi are much harder.

I've made up my mind to play SA demo on Lunatic though I'm hoping to have some kind of breakthrough (tired of sucking it up on normal, gets you no respect).

After numerous tries on MoF normal without being able to beat Kanako, I decided to give easy mode a go. Mostly no problem, but then Kanako again...ugh. I messed up badly the first time and wasted a bunch of lives, and then I just couldn't do it on continuing. I'll probably get it next time I try, and it's easier than PCB for sure, but sheesh.

I'd heard this game is the easiest, but is that the truth? I know I suck, but I've experienced all the other games, 1-9.5, before this one and some of it's still given me a good deal of trouble.
