Yes, in the VN that's what happens when you follow the Rin Route "Unlimited Blade Works" (I assume you watched the movie so I'll not care to explain). Ilya's destiny It's pretty different in the other two routes. And she's still kickin' alive in F/HA (but that's not a sequel of any 'official' route, so it's unrelated).
