Eh, my place is a bit messy.. if I just throw away some boxes and such I can get it looking really nice again.

I don't have much of anything noteworthy besides a pretty big gunpla/garage kit collection. Nendoroids, figma and some misc are in the smaller shelf by the dresser.

Those scrolls and posters are older than /jp/; a few of them predate /a/... but they haven't really faded much and the walls are far uglier if totally barren, so I keep them for now. I plan to get some nice prints made someday but keep putting it off.

Other side of the room during day. I was watching something (hen zemi I think, this was pretty recent) so most of the lights were off. I sometimes pin up that sheet over the window, since otherwise I get terrible glare, but the sun was soft and setting at the time so it's open here.

Well you don't have to so much bore holes, as simply drill them into place.

Some types also can install using an adhesive that, as far as I know, actually works just fine, it's just a serious pain to remove.

LEDs make for good lights to just install into stuff, since they're quite bright as long as you get enough, but also cheap and lightweight. Most importantly LED doesn't emit UV or much of any heat (two things from spotlights that can damage figs over time).

>> No.7277990

NEET does not imply anything that would associate it with those hobbies.

First off, it stands for Not in Employment Education or Training. Second, it was a term made in Britain, and has nothing to do with otaku culture. I think that's what his question of "what does that even mean?" meant.

You could be a NEET, and be into regular normalfriend stuff like football or getting bitches and look down on obsessive hobbies like ours.

No, in the US, it is both legal and illegal. That is, it's legal de facto, but a new law that has since been untested since its instatement says it is illegal. People have tested the 'legal' law and found that it is upheld, but no one has checked to see if the 'illegal' law is unlawful.

In 1996, I think, 2D representations of children were deemed completely illegal.
This was ruled unconstitutional in 2002 by the Ashcroft v. Free Speech Coalition case, which did thus say that, In the USA, 2D representations of children are legal.

Then came 2003's PROTECT Act, which said that 2D representations of children were illegal. Obviously, this goes against the 2002 ruling.

To elaborate, 2D Cartoon Child Pornography is not illegal, but is also not legal, in the USA. The 2003 PROTECT Act does state that it is illegal, however, that goes against the 2002 Court Case that says it is legal. Therefore, it is neither legal nor illegal to possess 2D Cartoon Child Pornography in the USA until the PROTECT Act of 2003 undergoes SCOTUS challenge to tell which takes precedent over the other, the USA stance on it is too ambiguous. Not even a highly-paid lawyer could you whether it was legal or not.

For example, not wearing your seatbelt when driving a car is illegal.
Say that a law passed stating that it is illegal to wear a seatbelt when driving your car.
If that happened, no one would know what is legal and what is not legal. Therefore, the previous law is considered the actual law (ie, not wearing your seatbelt is illegal), until someone gets punished under the new law (ie, wearing your seatbelt is illegal) and takes the case to the Supreme Court for them to decide which law should be followed, and which should be tossed out.

yest It is illegal. The chances of it getting stopped however are pretty small especially if you order stuff to begin with (i generally get 3-5 packages a month and the last time anything got stopped was years ago when i first started ordering stuff, even then the only one to ever get opened was my very first figure).

Personally i do order loli stuff despite the risk. I have a few art books with questionable content including the two discussed (which are fabulous and highly recommended) as well as a bunch of loli doujins and manga.

I just realized that behind the chair are a pair of AKG k701s. The same pair Mio from K-ON wears. Those are expensive.

I personally don't see much reason to prefer C# over Java except for mostly unnecessary Microsoft specific interoperability.

All it takes to program is dedication not to give up when you a´hit a wall.
If you feel too retarded to program C#, then most likely the book isn't introducing it the right way.
What needs to be established is
1) a general feel of how to program OOT (C++, Java, C#, and the likes is except for a few albeit notable exceptions all-the-same-shit)
2) a general understanding of how the standard library looks like (that's specific for each language and eats most of the time to get used to).
Books mostly look at specific problems, and lose sight of the overall picture by doing that.

I'm too cheap to buy photoshop and too lazy to rip it off, but not so lazy to not spend 15 minutes doing this in MS paint.

Whatever, I got it done. Lost some resolution from downsizing huge images from my camera, if you can't see something ask for a bigger image. I use a laptop so I just use my bed as a battlestation
