For me was teetering between Yuela and Seravii, and just now decided to go with Yuela. Then Seravii and Emilitta last. Mainly decided so as I wanted to see all the things related to Shinigami to brought conclusion and the war OP-movie hinted probably going to happen in this route. It's a SRPG with some similarities to Fire Emblem combined with, I don't know, Rune Factory? I am not very far in, so I don't know how it goes later, but as of now grinding has been pretty much non-existent.

Also, might I suggest either ShadowFlare or Xanadu Next? ShadowFlare is almost a carbon copy of Diablo II, and to be honest it is a pretty mediocre game, but I did get a lot of fun out of it.

Xanadu Next is Diablo with more Japanese gameplay, if that makes any sense. For example, instead of randomized weapons, you have fixed ones that, after using them for a while, will start increasing in power (your character gets more efficient at using it) and after 100% (I think; max is 200%) you unlock that weapon's skill (could be a passive bonus, a more powerful slash, a series of strikes, etc.) to use it freely with any other weapon. It also has a pretty damn good soundtrack.

Either way, I highly recommend Xanadu Next.

There's also 10000 costing hotspring recipe that you can buy at one dungeon (well you get this small scane for making it tough, so it evens out). there probably is some more costly things out there.
But the shop starts to produce some money after a bit and you get hang of it. on the long run I doubt it will be that hard to get everything, and not like everything has to be done in one run as eushullys games usually have new game+

Remember, you should also have the shop decorated with furnitures that increase customer and buying rates, combine that with good clerk(s) and you should easily start selling stuff. Also its recommendable to sell expensive stuff rather than huge numbers of cheap stuff. those are some guidelines. also untill ch3 it doesnt feel like you sell that well and you shouldnt worry too much about it, imo.

How do you check if you're playing on normal or hard?

I dont think there is way to check if its hard or normal, altough if you havent had problems so far I dont think you are in hard, some missions are just bit harder than others. also you only need to lower shinigamis healt to some degree in that fight if I remember correctly. also exploit weakneses, I think the shinigami was pretty weak against magic, so use that.

you set it once you begin a playthrough, if you didn't tamper with the settings it's normal difficulty. Anyways, to get easy victory bring the succubus, her darkness defense skill makes the god of death only do 1-2 damage (and if you have been keeping up with the recipes she should have a holy elemental weapon that kicks her ass). Same for Yuera's dark armor. Couple with Celavie healing and you can take as long as you want to beat her, even 1 damage per hit.

Does anyone know how to amass piles of rocks? It seems like every fucking recipe needs rocks somewhere but I never get any. Are they drops from monsters, or do you only get rocks when mining? Are there any good ways to get tons of them quickly?

The main character has a skill that can detect both.

Other characters tend to only detect one but not the other.

okay I have weird bug or something going on.
Basically Seravii has practically stopped getting stats other than hp,sp,fs at level ups. stared thinking something maybe wrong when I noteced after 5 level ups that she had not gotten any other stat. so save/load whored over 100 times with different setups and all, and basically only got hp,sp or fs ups (there was one time out of that 100 that I got 1 point to defense). every other character stat gain work fine but now her stats start to lag behind all others. (it all worked fine before my Seravis stats arent even that good so she couldnt have hitted the limit)

anyone have had this kind of problem?

I think Yuera' earth armor has the search skill as well once upgraded. Anyways it's kinda retarded that gathering/mining spots are always invisible even if you found them once, I keep wasting turns going around maps when I could just zip to the spots.

1) Does save/reload change the item drop for monsters? Missing the water elemental soul for Emirittas water costume.
2) Where is the loyalty counter? I only see the leadership counter which is how much "space" the character takes up akin to Himegari's summoning mana cost.
3) What does improving the weapon level do? Didn't see much difference going from E -> D for a few charas.

Himegari had something similar too. it was just that that guy hadnt appeared before in earlier game so it suprised me. and yeah its pretty rape tastic monster. and you can attack it, its just that you have to be insede 2 range of it to attack it if you are 3 squares away you cant. so in other words you have to be in its attack range and survive one turn to attack it... it also has crazy dodge rate. sooo not going to even try to kill it anytime soon

From experimenting, item drops are set the moment the monsters are spawned, so if you want to get a particular item you will have to camp the vortex and load to the turn right before the monster spawns. Still have no idea what the weapon skill does though.

Not true. I experimented for a while trying to get a particular item from a boss monster, and what I noticed was that the particular attack used changes what item is dropped. I was consistently getting the same item when killing the monster with a normal attack, and a different item when killing it with a special attack. The item drop also changed per turn. I only did this ~10 times, so it maybe some astronomical RNG failure, though.

I prefer Kamidori bit over Himagari, both are damn good tough and have something the other doesnt. its up to you do you prefer to be overlord or alchemist and the gameplay differences those bring, and me being huge atalier junkie leads me to prefer kamidori.
and units do get pretty rapetastic in kamidori too later on when they start getting upgrades and when you start to upgrade the armors. And I feel like every unit has their strong points

There is no such thing as a loyalty stat

CP is your maximum skill points you can use to activate passives

There is also deployment point which goes up as your character levels up and changes her title

Okay I can understand the majority of the story text thus far, and the messages. So I'm at the first battle where the dude is with Reguna to take his Artisan final test thing. So i'm killin monsters and shit, then run across that harvesting node thing. I look thru the skills dictionary thing and see the harvest skill, but my main dude doesn't seem to have it. Can you only harvest those nodes when you first find them or when you have a char w/the skill?

Also I skipped the tutorial because I was completely sick of reading at that point and wanted to kill some shit. If it's explained there just tell me and I'll go back and do it.

thats the mutation factor of the workshop. when it triggers it produces stuff that you didnt meant to make. sometimes they are better and sometimes they are worse from what I have heard. for myself I have had it only trigger once when making bows for sale, ended making blade bows which turned the bow in "sword" so I can attack in melee with my archers when its equipped, I was like FUCK YEAH that time, have had it in some good use.

When searching for the merchant after he runs off for the thunder dragon quest, is there any major difference between paying the 30k to the male or paying 5k to the female? Other than having to go to the church before the cave is opened.

It also affects evading and skill activation rate I think.
I don't know about the default outfit (iirc they all have a couple of good skills that makes it worthwhile), but developing more than a set % of a certain costume unlocks a h-scene with that costume, so you want to level at least all the ones of your heroine of choice.

I am partial to loli magician routes, it is a curse. I ended up equipping Wil with my ebst shield, changed all his stats to DEF, and stocked up on healing potions. Turned the 3x 13 damage per enemy hits into stuff more manageable.

It was a brutal map. Maybe I just had terrible luck with Will's stats, though

Well fuck, just wasted around 10 hours of playing. Hint for people: DO NOT ADVANCE TO FINAL(ch9) CHAPTER if you want all recuittables and have not fulllfilled all the conditions then yet as you cant recuit some units in final chapter Gaptaal and Shinigami.

there are no "event" skills in costumes. the costume related H-scene is unlocked after you upgrage it certain % from overall chart. after that you get small skit where its told to go somewhere with the armor equipped and that is when you get the H-scene.
