It's the ultimate asshole youkai though, besides satori/tengu in some stories (the mind reading gimmick isn't unique to the satori, tengu can do it too.) and Momon-jiji (an old man who appears at crossroads, if you pass by him, you'll be cursed. The trick is that if you don't pass by him and choose the side he isn't standing on, he'll be there waiting on the next crossroads. Choose the path without him again? No problem, he's right there on the next crossroad, so on and so forth until you pass him by and take the curse.) There's nothing preventing the uwan to shout again when it is replied to (well, I think it might retreat, though), so the traveler will eventually get tired of replying back and be cursed (and this curse comes in form of the uwan eating their soul.) It's a win/win situation for the uwan.

Since your mettle as a youkai generally depends on how big an asshole you are, it's the best youkai to be.

Interesting that Kyouko is apparently a new addition to the Myourenji(?). Will she be calling the more experienced buddhist youkai "senpai"?

I actually avoided using Marisa in the earlier games (prior to StB/DS) because her focused and regular speed was way too fast. But homing shot types are shit, so I used needles. Homing shots aren't that great anyway (refer to EoSD extra).
