No need.
Time travel (to the past, at least) is impossible.
Any form of manipulating the future will cause a paradox. It's like the killing-your-past-self incident. Who's there to do it if you're dead?
This predicament applies to all attempt to change it. For this reason, time cannot flow backwards.

The grandpa issue has been solved many times. One theory dictates that the sheer fact of you travelling to the past is part of the normal timeflow, hence you'd be killing yourself in the future without altering the past.

Of course that kills the whole point of wanting to change the past at all.

And going to the future to kill yourself and then returning is one thing. There's no paradox, because the present cannot be affected.
Going to the past, however, is different. You can't kill yourself when you're dead. Therefore, it'll be impossible to change an event.

However, the only form of time travel that I know is possible, is making already existing events happen. Suppose you loose your car keys at a point in time, so you go back in time to retrieve them and return to your own time. That would explain why you lost them. But that's not changing an event. It's merely upholding it.
