So, what's the most immersive VN you've had the pleasure of reading?

What about it pulled you in? What do you want to see more of, so you can get more of that experience?

Sengoku Rance

I identify with humorous rape.

I want to see more light hearted/comedy rape VN's, does anyone know know of any?

Definitely has to be Sharin no Kuni as the most immersible I've played, and I have got to recommend it to those here! While I also recommend Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni, contrary to the anime, it has a really unprofessional, "doujin" feel to it compared to higher budget Visual Novels.

If you've ever read Brave New World or other dystopian novels, you will love Sharin no Kuni. The idea of it is that in this society, there is no prison. Instead, criminals are given obligations and restrictions. Your objective is to rehabilitate them. However, upon taking this task, you would not have known one of these criminals was a dear childhood friend, whom had been burdened with the penalty never to touch a man again.

My only problem with what I gotta say about the VN, is that if you play anyone's route but Natsumi's, the story feels very un-cannon, and even if you choose another arc, there is still romance with Natsumi. And since arcs barely differ, you may as well choose the cannon pairing.

Anyways, as such an awesome VN, I'd say to people to give Sharin no Kuni a try. You won't regret it! ;)

I not really sure, but most VNs affected me a lot more 5 years ago like Planeterian and Tshukihime since I was in puberty. I really cried like a girl to them, and anime in general a lot.

I stooped doing that a few years ago. The last good immerseive one was Majikoi I really liked the story and the pace and the humor.

I don't know if it counts, but it was 3 Sisters Story

What about it pulled you in?
It was like one of these action movies from the 80s.

What do you want to see more of, so you can get more of that experience?
Maybe more of that point of view where you are a bit antagonistic.

Crescendo. All the characters were great, art was pretty awesome, the story was pretty well written (Loved the nurses route), and the music was just amazing. I think I find myself drawn to it because it reminds me of my highschool graduation days several years ago.

What would I like to see more of? More highschool-based-visual novels that don't focus primarily on sex or moe, more use of classical pieces (Frederic mo'fuckin Chopin), and an interesting way of telling the story (focusing primarily on past events, rather than current events).

Most immersive VN ? Ever17.

Yume Miru Kusuri.
I cried bitch tears throughout the entirety of Aeka's path, and felt a similar connection to a lesser extent with Kiriyama and Nekoko.

To date, it's the only VN I've never managed to get 100% completion on, because I simply can't bring myself to even think of reading the Bad Ends for the girls. Just knowing that picking any girl results in the death of the other two because you aren't there to save them and nobody else cares seriously threw me.

I haven't been able to get into any VNs recently but I have to say the most immersed I've ever been was with Kanon. More VNs should let you change the name of the protagonist.

I should get around to finishing Kanon one of these days. Also, the Japanese make terrible wallpapers.

Yeah... no 1920×1080 anywhere. For top 3 most technologically advanced nations on earth, they really suck when it comes to PC tech...

Not even that. Their wallpapers are so cluttered and tacky. Like are those two watermarks and the reflection at the bottom really needed?

I inevitably name them Kharn, setting myself up for eventual disappointment when the protagonist doesn't butcher the love interests in the name of Khorne with his chainaxe dick.

Snow White was the worst offender. Kharn, enjoying a lovey-dovey relationship with Alicia Florence in terraformed Mars? Where are the techpriests? Why is there water all over the place? I don't want Neo-Venezia, give me zealots of the Omnissiah to butcher so that I can offer their metallic skulls and oily blood to my newly-wed wife Alicia as a show of devotion.

Because the companies make wallpapers as simple game advertisements, not to be cool and shit.
And the wallpapers lately on Techgiant dvds come at high resolutions too (in .bmp so they're 12 mb each, but hey, can't ask for everything in life)
