It's not like he was that friendly with us beforehand since he made /jp/ to (in his opinion) cleanse /a/ and make it better, which obviously failed. But after that he is not on good speaking terms with us. Not publicly anyway. Even if he loves the shit out of VNs and would actually be good friends with any of us in real life, he'd never admit it publicly. Too many people are watching moot's every move.

/a/ was sundered into two pieces because it was going too fast and there was too much stuff there that people felt was off-topic since it wasn't directly anime related.. Touhou and VNs in particular. So /jp/ was made for those to go to. It's funny because it all happened in an effort to save /a/ from being shitty, and it somehow only made it more shitty afterwards.

Some people say the same thing about /v/ and /vp/, that Pokemon was one of the only things holding /v/ together in some way. Although I don't think it really matters much since it's already been too late to save /v/ for years.

o_o. The story doesn't really match up with the current status huh.. A quick look at /a/ doesn't look so much different from /jp/'s bad threads.

What do you mean, /a/ is far worse than here. Their primary occupation at this moment is:
- doubles
- posting pictures of goats
- arguing/trolling the concept of general threads, that is whether they should be around/used or not
- many other things not actually related to anime or only tangentially related

In other words it's a lot like /v/ only not quite as bad on off-topic crap. There have been times I went to see /v/ and saw literally no threads on the front page related to video games. I know that that's just how it looked at that one moment of time and it's kind of a low chance to see it, but the fact that it can even happen there is spooky nonetheless.
