This is probably the worst place to get help, but WHATEVER. I'm curious, /jp/, does Japan have much of a "baka-gaijin" mentality? From what I've managed to pick up through /a/, anime, and stereotypes, they view Americans as foreign devils. Granted, these aren't the most reputable sources of information, but I'm curious nonetheless as I will be studying abroad in either France or Japan. Hopefully a native Japanese or someone who has spent an extensive amount of time there can tell me.

>but WHATEVER

I don't know how anyone can honestly expect any help with that kind of awful attitude.

I dunno man, but why would you post a picture of a door and some bushes?

My apologies if it offended anyone, then. I humbly ask your advice, /jp/. *hat tip*

It's actually the opposite, don't listen to /a/. It's actually the Chinese that are like that. I won't go into details because I don't feel like being shot.

Be as unbiased and non-racist as possible. If that fails, fuck it, I wanna hear anyways.

All Asians are racist. We just insult you in our language so you won't understand.

That second statement applies to any race in any language. Hell, even dogs are probably calling us assholes when they bark.

They love Americans, don't listen to the idiots in /a/.

French people really do hate Americans though.

I don't know about Japan, but France hates foreigners, especially native english speakers.

>> No.7188834

Go to Japan. No one wants you in France.
Also Japanese are more tolerant to Americans than Europeans. Expect having no friends, being ignored, having your things flushed in toiled and raped by African immigrants on daily basic and Japan is tolerant friendly multicultural place where they produce your favourite Anime.

People in Japan are generally friendly - at least to teachers in the JET program.

However, often it is simply superficial politeness. You aren't likely to be openly (or privately) hated on but I have a few friends who have found Japan to be a really lonely place because they were unable to break into a social circle.

There is racism in every country - particularly one as homogeneous as Japan - but at least Japanese society demands a high level of courtesy towards others.

But if you are only going to Japan because you like anime then you'll probably be disappointed.

>> No.7188864

Most Japaneses hate otaku and especially gaijin ones.
If you go to Japan prepare yourself for a very lonely time.

In France people are much more direct so you could get into arguments at time but you'll have a much easier time entering a social circle.
And most young people know and like anime and manga there

People in France hate immigrants. They won't accept anyone and won't argue with him. Probably he will be put in class and school full with immigrants where everyone carries knife. Unless he aims to be friends with other immigrants, but then he could do it in Japan and be a lot happier.

>> No.7188876

If you have seen that image that's been shooped a thousand times where a british man crosses a french man and later the french man posts on the internet about how much he hates british men, it's like that. You might not notice the hate, they don't hate you to your face. They have a societal obligation to be polite and humble, but behind that is a seething hate for gaijin = monkey same.
