Someone explain why they enjoy NTR to me. Theres some good answers in this thread already. I have a morbid fascination with NTR, but I don't actually enjoy it. Its like watching a train wreck, I don't feel happy or pleased by it, but it is interesting.

My biggest problem is how utterly stupid the stories tend to be. Normal nukige premises tend to be ridiculous too, but they're pandering to a fantasy. I often find it difficult to appreciate the story when everyone involved is retarded. The guy is dumb, the girl is dumb, and the reason shes cheating on him is the dumbest of all. I've seen the Another World series pop up here a few times, so I'll use that as an example. The girl's boyfriend mentions that hes a little interested in trying anal sex with her. Her response is to get fucked in the ass by the school's delinquent for a week straight so that shes "prepared for it." This story isn't even farfetched by NTR standards. Though I'd say its one of the dumbest that I've read.

It doesn't help that NTR tends to be nearly the same story each time. You have your standard loving boyfriend, though sometimes hes worthless and its hard to sympathize. The other guy is some bad boy/delinquent/yakuza that just wants to take advantage of the girl.

They'll spread their legs and give their virginity to the first guy that gives them a stern look. I've yet to read one where the other guy is a good and respectable person. Where the protagonist loses to love instead being fucked until she loves it. Partner swapping NTR is interesting for the paranoia caused from knowing whats going on the entire time, plus it being mutual, but it is very rare.

Since its translated, I think the Ryoujoku Famiresu Choukyou Menu animation is a good example of everything bad about NTR. It might be a bad example because apparently the VN was not NTR at all, and had a different protagonist(the rapist). But it does manage to nail every stupid concept. I really enjoy NTR but anything I've watched or read has been translated into English so it's a pretty small field. I also have to admit that none of these are that well done. They're just close enough to the feeling I really enjoy but the stories are done terribly and the characters feel false. I usually have to combine this sort of material to my own fantasies.

As for why I actually find NTR arousing is linked withmy other fetishes such as girls being mind-broken or blackmailed. It's not so much taking advantage of a girl but the unhappiness that's created through sympathy whether it's from the girl or MC. I think probably the most arousing part for me in NTR is at the end of Houkago 2, Saiyuri where a husband discovers and watches his old school janitor and current wife engaged in coitus in a car and then later in the middle of a road, only a couple of feet away from him, while the wife confesses that the janitor has made her a 'woman'. The husband falls to his knees and covers his face as though he is crying.

The feeling of anxiety, sadness, and the knot in your heart good scenes like this can create are what really do it for me. I can't relate to others when they talk about how NTR is rage inducing and I don't find any arousal in anger. I enjoy the feeling of humiliation, aghast disappointment, and the feeling of ongoing sorrow.

I'm a NTR fan. My favorite NTR game is "Tsuma Kanraku" by Autobahn. It's also one of my favorite nukige/eroge overall. I recommend it wholeheartedly. Great voice for the heroine, great atmosphere, and very accessible. The NTR games by Atelier Sakura seem to drag out for too long, while I feel a game like this gets it right. This game gave me the chills at the end. Games that do this are special, and NTR games are more likely to do this. The only downsides are its static (dated?) art, and audio scenes that you need to use your imagination for. It's a great package overall.
