Since the games are discouraged for discussion around here and /v/ generally despises Touhou (at least, the last few times I've tried to bring it up in that monstrosity), does that mean I should just resort to discussing it on forums outside of 4chan?

I just tried easy mode PCB and I did worse than I do on normal (failed 3 easy spell cards). I do feel pretty awful now, but at least I can use Sakuya instead of Marisa for Ran.

There's nothing wrong with playing on easy if the game's too hard for you.

I mean, shit, Touhous are easymode danmaku, so you're already halfway there.

Try the fighters. SWR and Hisoutensoku are pretty easy. (I would say IaMP too but Pandemonium is retarded).

I struggle on normal mode on MoF, I'm too prone to panic and just blow bombs when it gets crowded instead of staying calm and avoiding the lazers. Still need a lot of practice.

Maybe it's because he ends up with no power against bosses or something? I dunno, it probably shouldn't be a problem since he'd recover that power easily. Although I have the same problem he does except with SA. Mostly on stage 4 and 5, so that I end up with 2 power at most against Orin then lose.

In MoF getting back power should be no problem.
In SA it's indeed a bit more difficult.But still,having 0 power is still better than dying because even when you die while having 0 power you'll still get back 2 power(Not sure how much exactly you get back) and if it is your last life you even get full power.

You should at least try to dodge the patterns without needing to bomb. Bombing when you know you're about to die is okay, but don't just bomb things you aren't sure about.

Thanks again for the advice. I'll practice more aswell, an hour or two a day should be fine.

I also frequent /p/, but usually get turned off by the gearfags and "pros" pretty quickly.

/jp/ is the best board.

You should start playing VNs.
You can easily waste some years this way.

Aya is probably my least favorite touhou.
