Well, if I recall the description correctly, it was an incident involving.. divine spirits, if I read that right. Which could mean a lot of things. To me it'd be a real treat if by "divine spirits" he meant in a Western perspective, which could mean we could get angel and devil Touhous, maybe zombie and necromancer Touhous etc. But no it's probably just going to be another angry local deity with some obscure and/or completely made up youkai.

Either that or there will be a lot of sweeping patterns (or those gigantic bubbly danmaku) making the ability of little use.

The character-specific abilities are never that great, they're just little bonuses that make playing through that character a little different fundamentally, to shake things up if you will, not to make one a game-breaker.

ZUN could also be exagerrating about the tiny hitbox; hitboxes are already pretty small and so even if it was half the size it normally is, that's what like an extra couple pixels all around, it might save your life every now and then but if you are bad at timing your movement you're going to get buttplundered either way.

I'm going to guess that each girl has 2 shots: Reimu has Homing/Needles and Marisa's going to have Missle/Laser. Since Sanae got Marisa's 3rd UFO shot, then I'd guess that Youmu gets Reimu's.

Just because it looks similar doesn't mean it's the same. I still expect 1 shot type per char, but we'll see. I didn't like how UFO had 2 types of each shot with 1 being clearly better than the other. Although it was still way better balanced than anything since PCB, so if it's like that again I won't complain.

I meant that there are 2 narrow shots, 2 homing, and 2 wide. ReimuA > MarisaA, SanaeA > ReimuB, SanaeB > MarisaB.

But the worse ones aren't bad, either. The difference is not that big, except if you're not good at the game then SanaeB comes out way ahead.

You're gonna be focused the majority of the time in boss fights, and it's really easy to snap Myon into forward position right before you go into focus mode, in which it stays there. And in stages, you have a lot more room to move and finesse it around to where you need it.

I hated it on stages. That's exactly why I didn't use it, it feels so weird when tackling stages. As for Ten Desires, not being able to shoot while unfocused is one hell of a weird gimmick. I'm hoping it won't be too detrimental.

But for some reason, Youmu's version doesn't bother me. Perhaps because it's easy to reset, but also perhaps because, well, y'know. That whole waifu thing.

That's why Remilia is with Sakuya, one shot for stages the other for bosses. Then again the only time I like using a character solo is Reimu, so eh.
