What is everyone favorite character and type? My favorite is Marisa-B, but I think Youmu-A is pretty powerful too.

I don't really know the difference between the types, I've only really been using Sakuya-A. I'd play more but I really don't like they keyboard controls and I don't have a gamepad currently.

I dont know why Xbox 360 controllers fuck up though. On my XP machine the 360 controller works fine but on my Vista machine (Which is better) if I plug the controller in the control scheme is the EXACT SAME but the spell card button doesn't work and it moves the ascent/decent button from the triggers to the bumpers.

I think every character except Reimu & Suwako has something I like. Cirno-B is probably my favorite for her ridiculous damage if you ever land a freeze, but I mix it up and play a variety. Not easy to find a game to play in though.

Yeah, I suck complete ass at this game. I'm still losing to Okuu in story mode, and I can't hit ANYTHING. I keep getting circled and knives do worthless damage, and I can't even tell how much health I have.

My reasons for picking Alice B are the faster regular bullets, the fact that you can move during your charged laser and the doll followers which force the opponent to stop moving and block.

I get a black screen with the sound still playing every time I enter a battle scene. The fuck is going on? I have a decent nvidia gpu with the latest drivers and the latest version of directx. Running the game with applocal didn't help either. halp plz.

Yeah, I hate fighting Alice with Youmu for that reason.

I mean they know what you are going to do, you know what you are going to do, and with the lag of online play it's pretty much impossible to not get blown away.

I like MBA a bit more because the characters are a lot different. The characters in this seem a bit too similar and don't have any that really stand out from the rest(Lina, Hayate, Vita, etc). Youmu compared to Alice is about as different as it gets. Even the Climax moves are all nearly identical.

Since its by the same people, I'm sure they'll keep adding onto it. Maybe then we'll see some interesting characters.

I've been looking for this.

Now that I'm used to the system, I have to say TSA is more polished in every way when compared to MBA. Everything looks fucking beautiful, this is what I always hoped a 2.5d Touhou game would look like. The controls start to feel natural when using a pad, and the gameplay/attack choices are bit deeper than MBA was. The voices are the first Touhou voice set in a game I've liked, I think every single voice is fitting and damn professional. The themes are also god damn awesome.

I fucking love this game, I can even see playing this past the first month (though sadly, there probably won't be people for netplay beyond that).

Not sure if its the same loop he mentioned, but Cirno B could do disgusting damage before. After they're frozen by the hi-tension spell, charge up your normal spell and run up to them. Unleash the spell in melee range and then hit them with the melee combo while they're being pummeled by ice. By then your hi-tension spell is recharged and you can usually nail them again before they escape.

Been playing youmou a and during hi tension can do a spellcard charge and after that a charge+shot almost with no delay does soo much damage and you can do it multiple times considdering how long some hi tensions are
