It doesn't, I'm too lazy to set it up and I'm the one who uses this computer the most, so it doesn't really matter much.

Not really. When you have your system for more than 5 years, there are too much progs for work and study that you just can't erase for lots of reasons.
And what the big deal - just push your boot button, go do some other stuff, come back - PC is ready.

It would still be a good time to format, even if you don't want to. No OS should take that long to boot.

I don't think it is a secret that even lots of browsers well into their 20s are still living at home here on /jp/.

But I still don't have a password on my computer.
I trust my family to not venture into my room and mess with my computer as they know I am sensitive about it.
I always say they shouldn't mess with my system. (Who also happens to be heavily modified, and full with a whole bunch of crap)

And if you really want something password protected, get one of them HDDs password protected/encrypted rather than locking your OS.
