Am I the only one that doesn't "hate" Luca? I mean yeah, the things she admits to Croix in the middle of Phase 1 put her in a really bad light and she doesn't look as delicious as the other two heroines. But I can't bring myself to hate her, at least not to the level I've seen from everyone else. I've beaten the game and seen all endings except Luca's (near the end of Phase 2 here) and she wasn't THAT horrible to me. Maybe she does something else horrible later in her route that causes such hatred, but I haven't gotten there yet.

I might just be biased, though, because of her english voice actor and her hidden femdom tendencies.

DLC going up today. First chapter of Ar-Ru's CS is free, and the other 4 chapters are...2$ each. Which makes a grand total of 8$ for the whole Cosmospheres. Some have reported the Tyria's personality pack is in the game, and you access it when available.

Characters still keep their personalities and whatnot fairly well, however. Saki, for example, still refers to herself as in third person and whatnot.

It just uses a more expansive, more colloquial mixture of words and terms. Going all like "Fo' sho!", for example, isn't an uncommon sight.

I have to agree with you, especially on the gameplay.

The story might be a bit of a mash-up depending on what heroines you like more.
I played AT1 when it came out and again in January to prepare for at3, and it certainly did age.
I would highly suggest that unless you absolutely hate both girls in AT1 and AT2 that you play them in order. Mostly for the reason that going back to AT1 from AT2 or AT3 is going to make it feel much more painful.
If you really don't care much, I'm sure you could start out on AT3 and still enjoy it though.

I think the best example of a high quality dub is Tales of Vesperia. Not once did I feel I wanted an option to use dual audio. In fact, in some scenes, especially between Yuri and Flynn, it felt like the characters were real and having a real conversation.

Personally I perfer dubs. Though ya you run into the bad ones. I wasn't too thrilled about Arc Rise Fantasia at first but the voices grew on me over time.

I got sick of that bullshit so I primarily buy online now.
The stores aren't at fault, since NIS games are relatively obscure and Ar Tonelico is somewhat difficult to pronounce, but it saves frustration on both mine and the clerk's part to do things that way.

It does take away from the satisfaction of seeing the cashier's expression when he has to scan the case and box the disc of the aforementioned "obscure" games though.
