I never said that she's the most liked, I only said that Alice doesn't hate her like her IN and PCB scenes may suggest, as ZUN said, no Touhou hates anyone else (except maybe Kaguya and Mokou), and don't forget again when she helped rebuild her shrine. Reimu screws with anyone that interferes with her tea-sipping (although she does ask sometimes to move out of the way first, if it's a stage 1-5 boss) and that the youkai are absolute shit beings yet they always come back to her. It's like a general knowledge that the should the shrine maiden appear while you're doing your mischevious (in others' perception) deeds, it will just her doing her job and no matter how intense the battle is, you _will_ become friends with her.

Also she hosts most of the parties (the ones that include every Touhou that has appeared up to date), the other portion being the SDM.

What people not notice is that the unreliable aspect refers to the plenty of times where Akyuu says something akin to ''Details of X are unknown'' or ''X claims it but nobody is sure''. Also if you read the afterword, you'd know that ZUN was going to be the narrator of the book but added Akyuu in the last moment, not to mention their way of speaking is similar since ZUN does ask questions as well in his Touhou-related speeches, whether it's him not having decided on that aspect or just him trolling the fanbase.

With that said, both PMiSS and Aya's interview with Reimu show that she's the one that always solves incidents. The only exception being UFO, where it's Marisa B's route who's canon.

Not quite, Reimu's ability is to fly, more specifically fly out of existence, the limit that applies to every Touhous' abilities is true, however, that limit is above Reimu's permitted use of such ability since she's been shown to be able to use it. I don't know why people criticize others for their likes in Touhous, it's pointless and only shows immature bickering about how someone else has a vastly different opinion compared to you.

People like Reimu because of her attitude, her being a heroine unlike most, the not-giving-a-damn-about-anything, etc. While the flaws that those point out about her only make it better for those that do like her, whether it's a factor that it's actually positive or the fact that despite being the main character, she isn't a mary sue in terms of personality or knowledge (unlike say, Yukari). I also don't see why power should matter in preferences, any Touhou can be as powerful as they want, or another Touhou could pop out of nowhere and overcome everyone (Yorihime). Another thing I find silly is the ''plot armour'' when not used in jokes, since it only really means that you're saying that Reimu is omnipotentially powerful and nullifies any contradictment.

Examples: Wriggle, Mystia, Keine, Rumia, Cirno, Alice, Chen, Youmu, Marisa, everyone in PoFV, Hina, Nitori, Momiji, etc. are all part of the first two examples.
