A friend of mine was the one to introduce me to touhou. Also apparently there is some group on Steam for touhou fans from the city where I live (or it might be the county and the surrounding areas).

Apparently there are a few at the university I go to but I have met them; I don't speak to anyone outside my course and even then, only about 8 people in total.

I know a few, only three have played the games and I go out of my way to avoid the other ones even though I can never really get away when I need to.

I have a couple of friends that know the characters and such, but aren't huge fans. Although, I'm not much of a fan myself; the only reason I know so much about Touhou in the first place is because of /jp/.

None or if they do they don't want anyone to know. Then again, no one knows I like it (or anything anime/manga/VN) because I'd probably be labeled a pedophile and jumped.. Such is life in Texas.

Only one, who introduced me to Touhou. She knows pretty much everything about the fandom, but she sucks at the games. She'd rather participate in shitty Touhou RPs than try to get better, so she still plays on easy mode despite playing since 2006.

A classmate from last year who I haven't seen since last summer was into it. She used to spend her free time in school playing Hisoutensoku. Apparently she browses /jp/ from time to time.

Also, a few classmates here and there that I know. Caught one playing UFO in class.

It's hard revealing how into Touhou I am partially because keeping my power level hidden has become a sort of second nature and partially because telling women you're into the same girly games as them can come off as creepy if you're not smooth enough about it.

See, I had a friend back in highschool who enjoyed Touhou, and VNs to some extent. I even gave him Clannad on a USB drive, but I don't think he ever got around to playing it. Used to play SWR, PoFV, and Meltan with him. He was a much bigger fan of Touhou than me, and vice-versa for VNs. Thing is, none of us were really what you could call "great guys"; we and our "social group" were the whackjobs of the school, who spent all their break time being weeaboos in the freaking Physics classrooms.

I played fairy wars for several hours at uni today and noone said anything, so if there are any other fans around they're better at concealing it than I am.

I don't really know anyone into this stuff, but I introduced a couple of friends to shmups like the CAVE stuff, BWR etc. When I get drunk with them I always carry on about wishing to be the little girl, parade my figs around etc. None of them give too much of a shit and find it funny.

There is too much bitterness and seriousness when it comes to people into these hobbies I think. I just want to have fun and take it easy.

Well. I once showed my friend "Marisa Stole the precious thing" and she asked what the hell is this shit about. So i told her and she was fairly interested, so I reccomended her to play some Embodiment of Scarlet Devil, but she checked on wikipedia or some shit the order, and since she is a person that will only play in chronological order she instead downloaded that arkanoid Reimu game and i don't think she completed it ever since. I also don't think she would complete any Touhou for real, not to sound like an ass, but she always play vidya on easy and with cheats if available.
Other that that i had ne...no wait..come to think of it, in my high school, there was that girl who was something like otaku and yeah, she was definitely a Touhou fan, but i'm not sure if she was actually playing the games or was only a fandom person. Her favourite character was Reisen though and she had a lot of fan videos on her cell phone.

Well I have a friend which I asked to play the games, he enjoys them and made a few 1cc's but he doesn't give a fuck about the characters, so I don't really have someone to talk to when it comes to doujins and so. It's not that bad though since we play a lot of PoFV together.

Never once heard anyone who's familiar with the series, but everyone whom I ask is immediately smitten with the music!

One of my really close friends is a touhou fan, he got me more into it than I was. And even convinced me to cosplay, as Flandre, woot!

After getting into it myself, I convinced a friend of mine who considers himself a serious gamer to give them a try. He's an RPG fan, so he's played himself his share of Japanese games, so while not an otaku like me, he's at least desensitized to random Japanese culture you find in their games.
He's probably the only one I know who, while enjoying the games a lot, nearly completely ignores the mountain of other media that comes with Touhou

My 10 year old cousin stopped by my house with my aunt. He saw me playing IM and PCB and loved it. After staying planted on my computer for almost 4 hours trying to master IM on easymodo (and eventually succeeding), he asked me for the game. I burned a DVD with all PC shooters (plus Fairy Wars).

But otherwise, since I have no friends or family in RL, I don't know any who has an interest.

Not really a fan, but I like this story and I've only posted it once before on /jp/.
My father wanted me to visit during Christmas about two years ago, so I flew over. He had recently remarried, and his new wife had children from her previous marriage as well.

There where plenty of people from both my father's side of the family, and her side of the family in the house. Being the autismal, shy, quiet /jp/'er that I am, I sat in the recliner down in the basement. (It was turned into a game room just recently, pool table, air hockey table, etc.).

I was going through a playthrough of fairy wars, when my ten year old step sister came down, and asked me if I wanted to play some air hockey with her. She saw the game on the screen, and I guess she thought the patterns were really pretty, since she watched me play for a good ten minutes, then asked if I could make some room on the recliner for her to watch longer.

So for a good two hours I ended up playing Fairy Wars with a little sleeping ten year old girl stuffed really close to me on a recliner.

No, I did not do any sexual things to her.
