The average Japanese does not comprehend what war crimes Germans did and what methods the Nazis used to oppress political oposition just like the average (non-weeaboo) German probably will probably be dumbfolded if you mention the Rape of Nanking.

They just think the Nazis had pretty slick outfits and pulled out Germany out of the dirt after losing WW1 (and that Germany would have lasted about as much as France in WW2 if it wasn't for them, given they consider Italy useless and that Germany "was surrounded by enemies everywhere" (yeah, I don't think average Kens and Hiroshis know about the pact with the Russians to split up Poland either))

Japan was fucking useless in the war, they did not even attack the Soviet Union and instead go for neutral USA despite the Anti-Comintern pact. Pacific theatre was a sideshow at best, we did all the heavy lifting.
