Those charts are both still erroneous.
Just saying.

I think it's a wiser idea to arrange your images by groups/pairings, because most of the art you'll find will depict said (popular) groups/pairings... and sometimes is a pain in the ass to decide where to save the file.

That's why I single folder dedicated to Sakuya and Meiling, per example.

And when I find a picture depicting other pairing like Sakuya and Remiria, I decide which character the picture is focused in, or just decide by who I like the most.

Arranging pictures is not a joke matter.

I just like to have a generally broad category like the charts show with more characters under one folder.

Then if there are pairings outside the chart I put them into a folder called "Groups" .

oh yes, I have a folder like that too, it's called "Wallpaper,Groups, etc".

But, I try to have a dedicated folder for my favorite characters, if not, I will put all the related ones in the same folder, like "Eientei" or "PCB".

How about just reading the canon material and playing the games to find out yourself? Alternatively if you suck at the games you can even read the ingame dialogue in thwiki, just not the endings.

I sort touhou images by game first, then groups. Still haven't decided what to do with outlying images.

Inside my Tohoo folder, there are subfolders with fuckload of pictures inside, so when I try to access to them it takes a lot for the thumbnails to load, I suppose it's because of the size file that keeps the thumbnail images... I always keep my HDD defragmented and clean, so I was wondering if there was a way to speed up this.

I have XP and use MMCE when I want to admire the pics, the problem is when I want to upload an image or something like that, sometimes it takes A LOT of time to load the pictures, fuck.

Split the total files between multiple folders to reduce the stress of thumbnail creation. Maybe a couple hundred max per folder?

Try a live linux distro like crunchbang or Linux mint fluxbox.

The are pretty fast at rendering thumbnails.

Crunchbang is the fastest, but you have to read on their site to get it to install to a flashdrive.

Also I have found that windows hangs often when making thumbnails, so fast stone does have an option to reduce thumbnail quality.

I have the Fappable pictures for Touhou, and the the safe for work Touhou pictures.

But of course below that is the sorting for Characters in each series folder.

I'm not a big sorter. I have a Touhou folder and a fap folder. Touhou pics might go in one or the other or both. The only sub-sorting of the Touhou folder I do is /guro and /fat.
