I have gotten much better since the last time I played, though. Before, I couldn't get past Cirno on Easy Mode (go ahead, laugh, I suck). But just this morning, I made it all the way to Sakuya on Normal Mode! It might not be much, but for me, it's a vast improvement.

Flandre sucks ass though. At least the rest of the Scarlet Devil Mansion characters are pretty cool. Although Koakuma is also "whatever." Patchouli, Hong Meiling, Remelia and Sakuya are all great.

On a side note, I'm pretty good at the fighting games, but that's because fighting games are my forte. And while I am sad that Flandre hasn't been in any of the fighters, I can understand that she'd probably be overpowered if she was.

Fighting games are my schtick as well, but I never got too far into IaMP/SWR/Soku. I approved of playable Okuu in Soku but it couldn't hold my attention for very and I fell back to GGXX^C as always. Fun but everything felt so constricted.
On a related note I'm still unsure how I feel about MvC3. It's definitely super fun, and anything that involves the Doc is great, but, well, it's a vs game and suffers from everything vs games suffer from.

That's... you've got a point. I mean, Flandre has perfect control of her powers. And even with her "unstable personality", I believe she's not really insane so much as she has trouble controlling her temper, and thus breaks things out of anger or annoyance.
So there's no reason why she couldn't be in the fighting games, other than ZUN not putting her in there.

Flandre is not a whore nor the worst Touhou.

IaMP's basically a lot faster paced but more shallow. There's no bullshit weather, you have meter instead of cards, and there's no Okuu. I prefer soku by miles fun-wise but IaMP has a lot less nonsense and feels more competitive.
Ammy is... problematic for me. If I can actually hit her she's completely fucked but getting out of her pressure is just impossible. And her nigh-nonexistent hitbox makes doing anything ever very difficult.

Sent's a different matter, people I regularly play with always play spammy zoney characters so I've got more experience against the playstyle. He's a tough nut to crack but not as hellish as Amaterasu; once you get past NEUTRALIZE NEUTRALIZE NEUTRALIZE and jumping quick jab him into a combo before he hyper armor launchers you a couple times, they tend to stop being awful pieces of shit. Seriously his hitbox is absolutely gigantic, take advantage of it and mix him up into pieces as soon as you get within range.
Then again maybe it's just Super Skrull.

Between the two, I like SWR a little more than Soku for it's character roster, but I do enjoy the new characters in Soku. Playing as Suwako is hard to get used to, though.

I prefer soku because it's just more fun, but I don't hate IaMP by any means.
I do resent the hell out of weather though. River Mist and Typhoon or Hurricane (whichever one removes hitstun and the ability to block, it's been a long time, can't remember) have got to be the stupidest ideas ever.

I like Soku more than IaMP because I'm terrible at fighting games and mashing will actually get you somewhere.

She's kinda slutty but she's definitely not the worst.
