There are cheap tactics in this game all over the place, both free and money shop. Deciding which cheap way to play is superior or more honorable over the other is silly.

I left during the open beta because of Ivis and Ouka bullshit. I uninstalled, telling myself I'd come back after a while to see how official was.

I don't really care about this game, but why is it spammed 24/7 here?

Weighing in on this skill discussion thing. I think skill is a poor term to use in most games in general.

I find it's more about intelligence, plans, and tactics in games like Cosmic Break. The actual skill bit I would quantify as how well you can aim and lead your opponents. Everything else is trivial to do, but what you do matters significantly.

Take for example a hopper on defensive hill epoch. Everytime he spawns he rushs the enemy's spawn and causes all the enemies to gangbang him and kill him. He doesn't even manage to do that much damage. However because he hopped right into their spawn the enemies on the bridge were pushed back allowing more assaulters to attack the enemy's spawn which in term allows him to get onto the bridge and hop into their spawn again. It's not really skill, but it's gamechanging.

Same thing with Winberrl's drawguns, alpha striking with her doesn't require skill, it's merely a tactic. A useful one. Now hitting a 40 FLY AIR and drawing it to the ground with Winberrl's alpha strike would be a skillful use of that tactic.

And then there was that situation in the Hotglue versus Friendcircle fight in the tourney, a Winberrl Vesca binded one of the side tunnels at FC's spawn trapping many of them for easy pickings. Use of the bind doesn't require skill at all. Smart use of the bind however requires tactics and thoughts on where the enemy is going to be.

However the way I conjecture this one could simply consider all that tactics, intelligence, and plans crap skill making that word viable again.

I guess it's a matter of interpreting the word skill I guess and what it includes. General motor skill, I say not that needed for Cosmic Break. Planning and prediction skill I'd say is very important.

Also UC and RT merely determine what tools one can use. Proper use of one tool will beat another if it is poorly used. However one has to consider what it means to poorly use something.

There's good UC tools though. A lot of the moebots that can be bought for UC can be rather vicious if outfitted right. There's still plenty of decent weapons that can be obtained for free.

Box missles, Stardust Cannon, Volcano Grenade, Kamui Staff, Red Squealer AM, Limited Plasma Gun, Eight Vulcan, Scouter's Rifle, Ballistic Launcher.

I find weapons make a large difference.

Also there's tuning, despite the fact you can't protect slots for UC, one can still tune quite a bit. I have a 40 FLY AIR and 40 TEC ART. Hell, if you move parts around right, you can get multiple bots to a 40 stat just by moving one set of tuned parts around.

Also, despite it being cheap, it seems the best hopper there is is Accel Saber which is UC. However incredibly faggy it may be.

I played in all the OBTs too. I knew and expected it to go RT come official release. It makes the most money.

I personally look at the gara as a whole rather than individual rolls. Maybe because I almost exclusively do x5 rolls. But for 16 USD I can get 2 or 3 bots, some good weapons and maybe some less exciting stuff. I think the main reason I'm ok with Garapon is that I go into it knowing it's completely a lottery system. I put in how much money I want to, choose the gara I like the most, and see what my luck gets me. Not trying to get specific things from it. If you are looking at it as a bullshit way to buy a singular item I can see being upset, but I think that's the wrong way to go into it.

If you manage to get DERPWALK and the machine you chose has weapons being extensively bad yet the robots ranging from okay to excellent to get, you're trapped in the bronze ceiling for that roll/that set of rolls.

The server computed all the results and entered the items into the database that holds your inventory as a single transaction a few milliseconds after you pushed the garapon button, you clod. Nobody remotely competent would code it any other way. The game client just shows the average of your results as a stupid animation before showing you each individual item.

From my experience, super rewards is pretty good at keeping up with the offers you do. I wouldn't be surprised if they find out gamefly canceled your account.
