Sanae didn't replace anyone. Sakuya wasn't in MoF and she wasn't in SA. Even if if Sanae wasn't playable in UFO, Sakuya STILL wouldn't be playable. She's done being playable. Hell, her PoFV ending had her outright say that resolving incidents (read: being playable) was none of her business.

She's been gone for three games and she's never coming back. Get over it already.

For one thing I'd like a source on that, two, it looks like ZUN's possibly going to break the "5th boss" rule for new character unless he has a damn good reason for us to play as Orin. Not that I wouldn't mind playing as Orin, but I just can't think of anyone from SA who'd actually be appropriate.. fucking everyone in SA is a Youkai straight from hell, except for Yamame/Kisume.

Unless that is, he is basically going off the technicality that "she appeared in SA", to use Sanae again, since after all she was a midboss. But... that would be kind of dicks.

If I could choose to play as anyone from SA it'd be Yuugi, although Satori seems most plausible.

She's Satori's pet and 'tis but a crow from hell. Despite being very powerful and charming she doesn't have any plausible reason to hang out with Reimu and co since she doesn't seem very friendly.

Yuugi seemed to be just bored and hangin' around in Old Hell, and was quite friendly with Reimu. Seeing how Suika got to the surface world by just sort of walking out presumably, I'd think Yuugi could also follow you along on your way out + she doesn't seem to be an ass + Reimu demonstrably already is OK hanging around with Oni.

I hope Mokou becomes a playable character since she's a human and a youkai exterminator of sorts.

Mikos will be always be Playable characters, from now till the end !

Utsuho's working with the Moriya shrine, though.
