Okay, let me get this straight.

There is a "community" for people who dress up in full-body costumes to make them look like walking 3D cartoon girls. Walking cartoon girls that fucking SCREAM "uncanny valley" when you look at them.

And there is apparently some threshold for this behavior - and enough people who pass it - to classify some as "real" Kigs, as opposed to, (I assume,) mere hobbyists. Contemplating what those thresholds are... well, it simply does not bear contemplating.
