As of right now, it's possible to upload both MP3 and OGG files, but keep in mind OGG files do not properly display their tags on the site. This means that it'd be best to remove any Japanese from an OGG file before uploading it, if possible.

As always, feedback is always appreciated. Post any error messages you get, post opinions, suggestions, whatever.

Main server holds 7 users. There are a number of relay servers up that automatically redirect you when the main server is full, so don't worry. If you are not automatically redirected, you can manually connect to them. There's a page on the main site to check what relays are currently up.

You can still submit logo's for the website. Make sure it's 300x100 and I'll make sure it's in the rotation. Lets see some of that /jp/ creativity.

Also, if you'd like to join our Skype chatroom, you can search for Jaypee Radio. Once you add that account, you should be accepted to the chatroom shortly. It may also be a nice idea to let us know in the thread that you've added the radio account, so we can get to your request faster.

I still have tons of albums from various places and from helpful people in the Skype room that like sharing recommendations, and I never get around to listening to them because I mostly have the radio on. The only time I really get to listen to them is when the stream goes down in a way that I can't fix it (mostly internet outage at Pyonta's place or the box shuts off/freezes) and host my own stream.

Don't remind me anon. I've got about 50+ albums to go through from C79 alone, and the rest just continue to pile up. The main problem is that the stream keeps me busy in terms of music throughout the day, so I never get the chance to. Although I do try to sleep to some of it every night, it's not really enough to warrant any progress on it. I might just have to take a day to grind in an rpg/take a walk like I used to in order to get a substantial amount done.

Ah, that's just the information I needed. I'm pretty sure the one you heard was "Marching - Makaimura" by Diverse System. I stumbled upon it not too long ago myself actually. Not a bad listen at all.

Also, I messed up a bit earlier. I meant to post the album mentioned earlier. It's not as if the rest of it is a bad listen all (I really liked the violin track at the end). My only real concern with it is that tracks 2 - 7 may feel a bit repetitive, considering tracks 3 and 4 are arrangements of track 2, and the same can be said about 6 and 7 for track 5. If you can get over that, it's time well invested.

Yeah, it does, actually. We might look into that, but we'd first have to wipe out a larger amount of songs. Pyonta and I are thinking songs with less than 2 requests in the c78 section. If we remove songs with less than 2 requests from the whole library, too many songs would get wiped, so we have to think of something else.

Even if there aren't many requests for them, sometimes it's nice to get under requested songs popping up from SAM.

The problem I see with the 'under X requests' thing, is (I'm sure I'm not the only one) I will upload stuff but there is no sense of urgency to play them so I just let SAM play them when ever. That way they are in the pool for varieties sake but my level of musical exposure is more varied that if I just requested what I uploaded all the time.

The thing is that it's nearly impossible to actually guess what stuff people actually like if they don't request it. Even with the C78 stuff you're still running the risk of removing stuff that people want on there and just haven't been requesting - the same kind of person as >>6988697 may well have uploaded it but not requested it even if you hadn't. The C78 stuff is probably safer, but it's not safe. Anything you delete or keep without actual hard data is doing is going to be pretty arbitrary.
