Contains torrents for the games along with the emulator installer and bios. Now updated with the latest PCsx2 SVN beta client, plugins are automatically included. Thanks to Anonymous for this.

And before someone asks again for the lossless albums:

Yeah, AT1 may have been pretty mediocre in terms of gameplay but if you revisit it after playing 2 and 3 you suddenly realize how much thought they put into the original game's story and setting. It's worth multiple playthroughs, anyway, especially if you plan on playing AT3.

The dialogue during item creation isn't too bad, but the finished item descriptions are a little wonky. Basically, the descriptions are supposed to be Croix's personal thoughts on the item but it didn't get conveyed very well in a lot of them.

Oh, I see. Thanks.

Oh, and I finally Dualstalled for the first time. Ohhh boy. I had no idea what I'm getting into. No I don't mean the fanservice, I'm talking about all the factors that causes an event to happen. According to the tutorial, whether an event happens or not and what event you see depends on the bath toy placed, the crystals placed (I think), the Reyvateils taking the bath... and the positions of all three. And there's like, what, 4, 5 different positions? So if I get one position wrong, or use the wrong combination of Reyvateils or crystals, I miss an event? Baloney. That's too "Guide Dang It" for me.

I did get one event during the tutorial: Luca thinking Cloche likes kids because of how friendly she is around Sasha, and Cloche telling Luca to be more frank instead of stumbling around. The message log stopped with "It looks like Luca wants to talk", but I can't tell if was talking about the event that just passed or not.

By the way, just making sure I'm seeing and reading the tutorial right: Say you place the "Growth" D-Crystal. Is it like A) Grants Luca bonus Max HP while it grants Cloche bonus Max MP (it does not increase Luca's magic points or Cloche's health points), or B) Both Luca's HP and MP increased due to Cloche being in the bath, and vice versa?

>> No.6962799

>>6962746
Duallstall is rather clunky IMHO because there is no guaranteed effects.

Things that I've found from personal experience:
Bath toys help. A lot. They more likely than not draw the girls in to look at it, which then means you can position the crystals so that they'll pick them up.

The events are similar to the rest convos. Certain story events will allow them to trigger while others will happen as a result of the duallstall like sticking in enough new crystals to prompt a level growth of x amount. You have to press the confirm button to play through the event.

Each grathnode crystal has a different effect for the reyvateils. For example, if Luca picked up that crystal, she'll gain max HP but if Cloche picks it up, she'll get max MP instead. A reyvateil must touch the crystal for the effects to take hold so if Luca only touched it, she'll get max HP but Cloche gets nothing. If none of them touched it, nothing happens.

bath powders are very helpful. They give a guaranteed bonus which is helpful when you're trying to min/max bonuses for your reyvateils.

Because there is no real set way to determine how the reyvateils will move in the bath, you can't really establish what kinda bonuses they'll get, so just hope and pray really... It's not like the game is overly difficult that you need to bother in any case.

>> No.6962803

>> No.6962820

>>6962799
Of course all of this, while interesting, isn't terribly relevant to finishing the game since min-maxing is completely unnecessary. Further, if you're interested in seeing all the conversations, it's grounds for just getting the guide anyway. That said, set up I've found works well:

You have, usually, three Reyvatails: Two you're using and one you aren't. Place them in the corner like so:
1ooo
2oooT
3ooo
Where 1 and 2 are the RTs you use, o's are the crystals, and T is (optionally) a toy. Since they rarely run over each other, they're usually (>70%) forced over the crystals to their right and/or drawn that way by the toy. I usually got 3-5 bonuses on my two mains and 0-3 on the alternate.

Wow. I didn't realize Dualstalling was that... uh... involved. Complicated? Not sure what word to use here.

The only thing I hope for is that I don't end up underleveling my Reyvateils due to unpredictability, since having low HP means they'd die easily (guarding against multi-hit attacks are still tricky for me at the moment, especially when they attack BOTH vanguards). Though I still want some challenge in the game. I'll probably try to avoid leveling the Reyvateils above Croix's, at least during the first playthrough.

AT2 newguy here.

Just passed Level 2 Cosmospheres for both Cloche and Luca. Cosmospheres seems harder this time around. You don't get as much DP as you did in the first game, and there's more choices that affect how much DP you spend and whether you continue or get kicked out (in the first game it was mostly linear, there's only a few moments I can think of where you can mess up and get kicked out; the one in Aurica's with that dragon caught me off-guard). Nice of them to add challenge, but I think I may find myself abusing the save state and/or reading a guide.

Story-wise I'm passed Croix giving Cloche the life-extending agent. Too bad it wasn't voiced, it would have been funnier. Two new vanguards have joined as well.

Which leads me to this question: Has anyone had a hard time choosing which two vanguards to use? I do. In the first game, the vanguards had a more noticable difference in stats and they had different moves with varying usefulness. But in this game, maybe it's because I'm still early in the game, but there seems to be little difference between the vanguards. And from the looks of it, non-combatants still gain full exp after a battle -- I know Leglius did, in fact he gained a bit more, probably due to being a couple levels behind. So I may end up just using vanguards based on looks and personality, i.e. Croix and Cocona or Amarie. What about you guys?

>> No.6968672

No, with the blocking system negates pretty much all damage assuming you are reasonably good at the timing, I think Amarie is the only one with extra skills apart from just attacking with 3 variations.

>> No.6968690

>>6968640
Just choose the vanguards that synchronize best with the RTs. The stats are notably different on higher levels, but even the weakest character can still be used as tank.

Btw, less DP than in AT1? What are you doing? I'm literally drowning in unused DPs... make sure you get good guard scores and get the burst rates high.

>> No.6968700

>>6968640
You're not playing the undub? That's a shame. I've actually played all three versions (Japanese, NA bastardization & NA Undub) and there's quite a lot of voices missing from the official version.

After the first couple cosmosphere levels you ought to be well off on, if not rolling in Dive Points. Especially if you feel the need to grind at any point. However, it's not much of a problem if you don't progress that quickly since you'll only go past level 5 for one of the heroines.

Statistically, Cocona is the weakest of the vanguards. She also doesn't get better weapons very often compared to the other vanguards. Amarie's psycho technique is kinda useless. I guess Leglius is fairly useful but his character design is so silly I never used him unless I had to. Seriously, grossly oversized armor and razor boomerang shields?

In the end, I always went with Croix, because he's a solid attacker, and Cocona, because that hair down sprite. Also, her EX attack looks pretty damn cool. It's also nice because the vanguard-reyvateil pairings work out pretty well with Croix with Luca and Cocona with Cloche.

>> No.6968716

Also I still haven't perfected guarding yet, especially with getting Perfects due to how risky it is, so I guess I'm not swimming in an ocean of DP just yet.

>>6968700

I'm playing the NA version because, well, I like playing my JRPGs with the dub if I can help it. Partly because it's a language I understand, partly because english voices' line delivery can make a significant difference in how funny/cool a line is. I don't think Dat Scene in Ar Tonelico 1 would be half as funny if it was just japanese voices. Lyner and Aurica's english VA really made the scene for me.

Although I do agree the voiced scenes are ridiculously fewer compared to the first game. Wonder what happened there.

And yeah, something about Leglius' design turns me off a bit. Not to mention he's kind of boring, although it could be because of his voice acting.

One time I entered Rakshek and Sasha told me to come to her shop. But then I messed up something and reset. Is anyone else a little OCD with shop events? I have been entering each town, and most of the time a shopkeeper invites me to her shop and then we have a shop event when I get there. When that stops, I get to Town B and that town's shopkeeper gets events. Then I return to Town A and Town A's shopkeeper gets events again. And so on and so on for eternity until they finally stop. Until I fight a few battles and the process repeats again.

It's a bit annoying because I'm like, "I just want to move on with the story already!" Sometimes I could get stuck for an hour doing this. Yet at the same time, these events are kinda nice, I get recipe cards and fun conversations.

The lack of Trinity Rule 34 is disturbing. Seriously. It has titty monster fox girl, DFC moe catgirls, another DFC ninja girl, a multi-armed naga for a final boss. And there's not one Rule 34 of this game? The fuck, Japan?

Somehow stick figure rule 34 of Trinity Universe characters doesn't seem that appealing.

Don't you listen to her battle quotes? She's got a mean streak in her.

You might like Tales of Vesperia. The entire fucking Tales series has secrets based around "do x thing, then backtrack to x place and talk to some random guy for an scent".

Is it bad that I want Cynthia, the weapon smith in AT2, to be a party member? Is it bad that I really enjoy her scenes?

Also, damn that Spica. I wish they added a bucket of candy option.

Cloche remembering the part of her childhood where she was experimented upon countless times. It's the reason one of her cosmosphere layers is missing, she blocked it out from her memories.

after seeing the ending of AT2, when Jakuri was talking to Cocona about sending her off to another land, i've been wondering.
does Cocona appear in AT3?

Well it appears we're past the post limit. I'd suggest waiting until the 'LULZ RANDUM EPIC GET XDDD' passes before making a new thread - until then just use the archive when this one dies.

I think I noted that earlier in the thread. She sure is dressed for battle and she knows how to make equipment. Then again, if she was a party member she wouldn't be a synthesis shop anymore and we probably wouldn't have those fun events.

Approxiamately how long is Ar Tonelico 2? Cause I'm still on Phase 1 and Phase 1 alone seems kinda long. And I know there are five Phases, so...

25-30 hours for a route, which is why it's suggested you don't dive past level 5 until just before the last boss so you can get 3 of 4 endings within a short amount of time.

Yeah, I've heard that suggestion. I just often wonder if I should take that suggestion because, A) I would have to wait a long time to see the rest of someone's Cosmosphere, which are one of my favorite parts of the game; B) both Cosmosphering and talk topicking would feel "rushed" (seeing all of them at once) since I'm not doing it as I'm going along; plus I might miss out on talk topics that appear when someone's Cosmosphere is at a certain level but has a certain time window; C) spell arsenal gets gimped.

I was thinking of waiting for the Third Reyvateil to join me, then get her level to Level 4. After I'm able to enter her Level 5 soulspace, that's when I'd make my second save. Then I'd complete Cloche's (the route I've chosen for my first playthrough) or Third's or no one's Cosmosphere and then continue on with the game, able to use my new spells in more battles than just the final battle and seeing new talk topics as I proceed on my journey.

It might take longer (according to Talk Topics guide I probably won't see Third's Level 5 until Phase 4) but I'll feel a bit more satisfied, I think.

Also, after I beat the game once, I'll use the max money cheat so I can get through the other routes faster. This is what I did with Ar Tonelico 1 when I went for Misha after clearing Aurica.

Well I've been in contact with both Tecmo-Koei and NISA and it appears that there are zero regional differences between the NA copies of Neptunia/AT3 and the EU versions which is nice to hear. However it seems the artbook is different, the US gets a hard cover for both Neptunia and AT3 whilst the EU gets a soft cover and it seems the US art book for AT3 gets 4 more pages whilst they get 4 less for Neptunia or so I understand. I've mailed NISA and Tecmo-Koei again to see if they can elaborate in these differences as I personally don't want to be missing out on a few extra pages of deliciousness.

>> No.6995671,13 [INTERNAL]

>The difference between Ar tonelico 3 and Hyperdimension Neptunia is character’s bio information. Also Neptunia has rough characters concept art work. Ar tonelico 3 has more of a story line and the settings information.

>Yes, there will be 4 pages less from the EU version and soft cover instead of hard cover

I smiled at them changing the bio information, I'm expecting some characters to be '18'. I have to say that NISA really are fast to respond and they're very helpful.
