get CM3D extractor, drag texture.vac on the extractor.exe
receive texture folder
go into texture folder, look for the right .png, replace and done
drop texture folder on the extractor.exe
receive texture.vac
your previous texture.vac is saved as texture.vac.old

So what I do whenever I am playing games where I am editing the original game files. Install fresh with nothing but official patches and make a copy of it and never modify the files with it. It saves you alot of time reinstalling.

Save your textures and plugins, reinstall fresh.
Update the game with the patches.
Copy your install and dont modify the copy.
Then move your saves plugins over or even your textures. If anything goes wrong, copy the unaltered files from your copy to fix it back right.
