God damn the spell system is more of a pain in the ass than ever. The one thing I hoped they would make easier. Just figuring out what the cock any spell DOES requires memorizing a wiki, and it seems none of them are content to just fucking do their thing when you hit D, no, you have to figure out some retarded special move that's good for limited time only (30% off if you buy now).

And how the skill cards all list their notation? There are a few non-obvious moves but everything else is 5 seconds in practice mode and then "Oh, that's what that move is". System cards are the only hard ones and the wiki helps with them.

There are still some moves I don't know what they do yet (Patchy's green beam me up Scotty comes to mind) but it's not as everything is so tricky. Almost all of them are obvious. SWR's a really easy game to get into, especially compared to IaMP.

I clicked on the icon, picked the first option in the opening menu, and expected to be able to play, or at least fucking understand, the thing without having to spend my precious time learning and memorizing useless bullshit. The basic moves are easy enough, I managed to beat the easy modo with Raymoo on my first try... After I gave up on trying to use any of the damn spells other than the one-shot glowing balls thing that empties your meter (maybe that one wasn't one-shot, for all I know it was another one of those that give you a reusable move, but I treated it as a one-shot). HOWEVER, you can't fucking claim playing this game with only the basic moves could be even remotely fun or satisfying. The spells are a huge part of it, so much that they set up a huge pseudo-MtG collectible system for them. What you recommend is like playing GTA without using weapons.
