God damn the spell system is more of a pain in the ass than ever. The one thing I hoped they would make easier. Just figuring out what the cock any spell DOES requires memorizing a wiki, and it seems none of them are content to just fucking do their thing when you hit D, no, you have to figure out some retarded special move that's good for limited time only (30% off if you buy now).

Is it so fucking much to ask that in a 2008 game I could figure out what the fuck is going on without learning 100 pages of useless knowledge? I want to press a button. That's the full extent of work I'm willing to go through to activate some stupid super move.

At least in most fightan games it's immediately obvious what the moves do. SWR is full of shit like Reisen's aura that turns her illusionary bullets real, but only if the opponent is within some area etc.

It's retarded to claim that you can figure these shits out by trial and error. You can't. If you can't read moonshit, you have to print out a damn list of explanations on paper. And even if you by some fucking miracle figure out what some spell does, you still have to input some arcane code to activate it.

This fucking sucks so god damn much. Why didn't they at least make the spells that give you new moves usable with a single button? Is that too god damn obvious for them, or what?

Look, homosexual, all moves in a normal fiughtan game do the exact same thing: they hit the opponent. It's fucking obvious how they work. Not in SWR. Most of SWR's cards either _give you new temporary moves_ or boost some narrow ability of your character in some way. They are not obvious.

Completely incorrect. You're whining because you're retarded. Ever looked at the spell card deck? Notice how, in English, it's divided into system, skill, and spell cards? And how the skill cards all list their notation? There are a few non-obvious moves but everything else is 5 seconds in practice mode and then "Oh, that's what that move is". System cards are the only hard ones and the wiki helps with them.

There are still some moves I don't know what they do yet (Patchy's green beam me up Scotty comes to mind) but it's not as everything is so tricky. Almost all of them are obvious. SWR's a really easy game to get into, especially compared to IaMP.

And yet you're still retarded. The "Spell" cards are all immediately obvious by simply using them, and it tells you how many cards you need to use each on the deck screen. The "Skill" cards not only have a picture of the move they effect, but it also tells you the input, so you know exactly what move it's changing. Simply going into practice mode, doing the move, using the cards and then repeating the move will let you see exactly what's changed. The "System" cards should all be obvious as soon as you use them.

Yes I did. I even went so far as to read the controls, that's 10 seconds of my life that I'll never get back. The story mode plainly does _not_ give hints on what the spells, let alone the weathers, do, or how they are supposed to be used.

This sort of shit is exactly what was wrong with IaMP and they told me they would fix it, but instead they have multiplied it by about ten. The fucker who claimed this was the easier game of the two to approach is brain damaged. It may seem simpler to a gigafaggot who has spent the better part of the past two years memorizing every little aspect of IaMP, but this sure as shit is not easier to a normal person.

The basic moves are easy enough, I managed to beat the easy modo with Raymoo on my first try... After I gave up on trying to use any of the damn spells other than the one-shot glowing balls thing that empties your meter (maybe that one wasn't one-shot, for all I know it was another one of those that give you a reusable move, but I treated it as a one-shot). HOWEVER, you can't fucking claim playing this game with only the basic moves could be even remotely fun or satisfying. The spells are a huge part of it, so much that they set up a huge pseudo-MtG collectible system for them. What you recommend is like playing GTA without using weapons.

>> No.697097

You learn by doing. I played through 2 stories and an Arcade mode before I even touched the profile/deck screen. I didn't get what the skill cards did, but as soon as I checked the profile screen I worked it out straight away. But the rest of the cards were all obvious as soon as you used them. If you couldn't pick up the game easily that's your problem, it seems you're the only person who couldn't though.
