for a higher score, is it better to milk spellcards to get as much grazing as possible, or just to clear them as fast as you can so you can get as much spellcard bonus as possible?
I nevre really bothered with grazing in Extra since there aren't too many point items once you get to the boss anyway

I don't know about Sanae's first or second cards, but I believe you want to cheese her third. It's probably not a good idea to hold out on any of Koishi's cards for grazing, since there's a very limited number of points items at that point.

definitely cheesing the 3rd (I cheat on that card), I also don't bomb during the huge dump of blue bullets (Except right after sanae) since I get sketched out going in with less than full power, but I guess that would help.

Why is MoF hard so much more difficult than normal. It feels like a different game. I have learn all the spellcards from scratch.

I don't understand it either. I could smash right through the first three stages on PCB Hard on my first try without too much trouble but MoF Hard can be painful even against just Minoriko. I'm using more bombs than usual.

MoF hard would be pretty bad, but you can still bomb you way through everything on any difficulty, except VoWG.

UFO is the only game I haven't 1cc'd on hard yet. Being able to successfully dodge some spellcards, let alone being able to hit the boss unless you have one of the weaker-yet-wide area shot types is more up to chance in this game than in others. Sometimes I'll make it to Murasa without being hit once. Next time I try, I'll start her level with no lives left. Friggen random game.

As someone who regularly plays touhou and has 1cc'ed most of them, I won't touch UFO anymore.

It's not that its really hard, its that it suffers from too-much-shit-on-the-screen-at-once-itis and it becomes way too easy to lose track of yourself and where the bullets are. I don't know what ZUN was thinking when he made power-ups and points swarm the screen so much.

Yet you were working towards 600M for a reason. What the other person said, meet the standards you set. No need to fight for the top immediately, but if that's what you really want then so be it. You could even work to top the English scoreboards first on your journey.
