I'm about 6'4" and would still be shorter than at least 3 I've met.
Basically if it feels good do it and then go to a con and do it there while basking in the glory of having dozens of dazzled onlookers taking your photo.
I've only cosplayed once, I looked down on it for so long but it's really nice getting that kind of attention, especially if you've never experienced it before in your life.

1. Lunchtime - Do you just go hungry or find a room or corner or something and take your head off to eat?

2. Toilet - As a male I would be doing a female. I know I would use the male bathroom, but are the certain Kig etiquettes I should know about in regards to this matter?

Break for lunch - Go up to your room and eat.

Again - Getting a hotel room at the con makes your life a thousand times easier. When needing a restroom break just visit your room. It's what most con kigs do.

If you have a kigurumi friendly friend whos staying at the con you may want to ask them to use their room for breaks. You'll eventually have to unmask and unmasking in public is a huge no-no in the kigurumi community. It's looked down on. Also, con staff can be really touchy about the restroom thing. Just a word of warning.

If you order and give head size you should be fine. some mask makers do custom sizing. Just so you know on shorter people kigurumi heads can sometimes look too large as well. It's works both ways.

Then you would be using the women's restroom facilities.

Also, remember to have extra gloves (if you wear white ones) since handling things might get your hands dirty. Wearing gloves protects the kig suit's hands from getting dirty. If fans want to get a photo with them holding hands with you, remember that many fans don't often wash up, and their hands will typically be grubby or slightly damp as a result of bacteria and debris sticking to their hands.

FALSE. You are paranoid. This is my 2nd post in this thread, so I have not been samefagging as you put it. There's not so few kigurumi fans that samefagging is needed to keep a kig thread going. There is a lot more kig fans out there than you realize and not everyone just wear them. Some people make a basic pvc pipe inner skeleton with joints, and then stuff them. Such a kig can be displayed as if it were a soft mannikin or life-size stuffed doll.

I personally think really well done cosplay and kigurumi are awesome but bad cosplay and bad kigurumi are AWFUL and quite an insult to the people who do it well.

That's odd. I've heard exactly the opposite of that.

I can understand why they would all seem tall. Once you get the average person of, let's say, 5'11. Add 1 inch heels. Thats 6, the mask and hair I imagine would take up at least 2 inches minimum. So that'd be 6'2 for an average heighted person.

These measurements would vary of course but I'd imagine they'd be at least 3+ inches on your normal hieght.

You do realize the average height of a male is closer to 5'8" - 5'9" right? And in Japan that number is even lower. Considering most Japanese girls are under 5'4", your logic would mean that most of the Japanese kigurumi are towering over real girls by almost one whole foot, which is not the case. Most Japanese kigurumi you see online are under 180cm, with a few exceptions.

With the current pricesets in mind (mask: 800-1000, suit: 200~, costume: varies but low) I figure it's not a matter of testing waters first. It's more so of just knowing who's good (like Kisaragi-Alice perhaps) and what and how to know to get (figuring out what I want and the best way to get it).

I don't think I can get anything decent for less, but it's not so much the fact I don't have the money, it's if I want to take the step to buy it (especially since I currently don;'t go out).
