Homing attack was a decent addition even to sonic 4, I don't feel like that is the problem with 3d sonics, and from what i've checked out sonic colo(u)rs seems to look like decent

I've played them so many times now that the only one I will play without getting bored quickly is blue sphere. The rest were good for the first few times I played through them, but there isn't any reason to keep playing them.

It's unique, but I've never really enjoyed the gameplay. The shooters are much more to my taste.

Gameplay wise it's okay, I am shit at howeve. HrtP does have one of my favourite touhou themes in it though, Eternal Shrine Maiden. I love that theme for some reason (and the metal rearrange of it on one of Magnum Opus' albums was immense).
