If Kanon never existed, we have Yasu cosplay for Jessica at the school festival. But didn't Yasu go to the same school? She would most likely get recognized by someone.

That's one of the things I disliked about the ending of Umineko, it was never really explained how Kanon and his relationship with Jessica worked, or if there was any relationship at all, and if there wasn't it would be even more stupid for Yasu to explode the island just because she couldn't decide between Battler and Joji

Actually, it's the only way to make things make sense. Any other way you have Yasu be a cruel, mass murderer who wipes the Ushiromiyas without a good reason.

It was hammered in our heads that "without love, it canno't be seen". This is where you look at Yasu and her circunstances with love and you see something completely different.

The clues are there, there are tons of them. You choose to see Yasu as either a cold murderer or a victim of fate. The fake murder party theory fits perfectly with the theme of the story.

Fake murder explains: Gohda and Kumasawa's death in EP4, Yasu killing herself out of guilt when real murders start, 1st twilight of EP3, that looks staged and only features servants, Battler forgiving Yasu. Those are off the top of my head. They also fit Yasu's character as shown in Ep7. Also notice that Will says some accident would happen whether Battler comes back or not. Maybe Yasu wanted to pass the headship in some way anyway, but Battler's return gave her an idea to play on his love for murder mystery novels.

Ep6 was a "confession" and it pointed blatantly used fake murders, while Ep has "a little difficulty" and is about the Why, not the How.

And notice how she says she inteds to die along with "everything" else, not "everyone". The part she says she intended to kill them- well, she did intend to "kill" them. The guns? She had antecipated someone might go get the guns at Kinzo's study so she hid them where it was less likely for anyone to get in.

What does the behavior of George and Jessica in these episodes really tells us about them? After all this is a story by Battler who had seen them only once since he was 13 and had amnesia on top of that. How can we trust that these portrayals of the their inner emotions are accurate when he barely knew the people?

Hell, we can't even really know if George actually proposed to Shannon. After all, Yasu wrote the first two chapters before the meeting even took place.

So, if the episodes were written before the conference, how was Yasu so sure about the storm? Sure, weather forecast exists and George, for example, made sure to have a spare day in case the storm occurs, but Yasu's whole plan, whatever it is, depended on the storm, so that the relatives can't leave the island on the 5th. It bugs me that Yasu builts plans based on weather forecasts.
I can see her coming up with the idea when it became evident the storm will cut the island off, but exactly when did she manage to write the letters then?
