So /jp/, I came looking for help. I really wanted to replay a bit Mountain of Fail but I can't put it fullscreen because it becomes stretched (vga monitor). So I decided to go back to windowed mode but, guess what, the 640x480 window is.... quite small. Is there any way that you know of to have a bigger frame (let's say 1024x768 would suffice)?

I think I saw this question earlier. Check the archives, it got an answer but I don't remember what it was.

I can only advise you what works for me for making things like this full-screen but not messing up the proportions.

I have a GeForce graphics card, so of course that means I have NVIDIA drivers. With them comes a control panel. In it go to Display, then Adjust desktop size and position. Select Use NVIDIA scaling with fixed-aspect ratio.
If your video card isn't supported by NVIDIA then figure out the equivalent of this on your own.

press alt-enter for fullscreen

reduce your monitor resolution (right click on desktop) while playing?

Check your monitor and graphics card settings for the option to maintain the aspect ratio.

I heard these are effective at making small things look bigger.

This.
Set the screen resolution to 768x480 (for 16:10 monitors) and then even in window mode it will cover the whole screen, plus the extra space on the sides.
