Doujin stuff doesn't come with manuals, only the PS3 game does. It's just the case and game.

>> No.6784899

>>6784861

Actually some doujin stuff does have manuals. It's rare though, and tends to jack up the price. Probably explains why they don't do it often. At the "very doujin" end, you have a blank burned CDR with a CD case and a front and back cover. At the other end, you have a dvd-sized game with cover and back, printed disc and full colour manual (I know desParaiso has, one of my doujin games.)

I keep wanting to import PS3 Umineko... it's just that $90 is ALOT to pay for a game that technically isn't a game.

>> No.6784932

>>6784917
Here in Australia you can pay $90 ($90 US, since the australian dollar is about equal) for the newest games, most of which are just 2 hour FPSes anyway. Compared to that, the PS3 port is worth it.

NRFB. That would destroy the value.

If the OP ever hopes to cash in on these someday, he would be well advised to refrain from unwrapping or even touching them.

Mandarake have it discounted:

http://ekizo.mandarake.co.jp/shop/en/item_s-541955.html

Assuming it's by EMS, it should be 4500 + 1500 yen shipped.

>> No.6785023

>>6784947
That's... hell of alot cheaper than most sites I looked up on, what's the catch?

Theres no catch.

>> No.6785057

>>6785023

There is none, I'm surprised to see it for this price too. I'm still not buying it though, because, well, unless you're an absolutely batshit crazy trophy whore or dedicated Umineko fan, there's no point in playing a game in a language you can't understand.

Unless you can sync the English version to the same time as the Japanese PS3 game's text, that is. I was looking at the trophy list and there's one for playing over 50+ hours, so you can't just buy it solely for that.

Actually, the catch is that Mandarake's site is shit, barely has any PS3 or 360 games, generally knows the value of their figures, and finding a good deal is a manual process. I guess I've already taken that problem out of the equation.

Man, do I want a poster of episode 8's cover

>> No.6785083

>>6785057
I can only read alittle Japanese, but I can understand spoken fairly well, so the fact that it's fully voiced is the major reason I'm willing to buy it.

Yeah, the site doesn't seem like it's got alot of games, but I guess I can just goto Playasia for stuff like that.

...The PS3 port actually has achievements? (Or their PS3 equivalent, at least.)

>> No.6785374

>>6785368
Yeah. They're just for clearing the episodes, reading the tips, etc.

>> No.6785377

No I'm not jealous. I actually bought most of that too. I hate PS3 though so I didn't buy that. But my stuff hasn't come in the mail yet.

Yeah, browsing this site is terribl--

Wait, really? I guess all that iM@S 2 boycotting did this.

Isn't Mandarake mostly second-hand?

At least that's the impression I got from my trips to Nakano.

>> No.6785528

Probably.
I just ordered Umineko and instead of getting a payment confirmation they sent me an e-mail telling me I have to wait 3 days for them to get back to me with availability and final price.
