Made a vertical shooting game for a C# class I had a few semesters ago (XNA, final project was an Xbox360 arcade game or something).

This screenshot is pretty early in development, I think collisions were working then, as well as basic enemies.

Not really, just a title screen (basically that, but showing the 360 controller) and pointing to what buttons do what.

All the game did was had an initial predefined pattern similar to the beginning of the IN EX stage, then after that random enemies that spawned at random times with random patterns.

I didnt have enough time in the class to make scripted stages, etc. I'm also a terrible artist, so thats about it. After the class ended I started working on making it look nicer (bloom, etc) but never completed it.

Here's an older screen showing an enemy on screen, shooting, etc. Oh, I removed bombs too.

The 'official' or numbered OC threads seems to have run out of steam after getting too many "Stop copying /a/!" or "Reported for meta". Its just the same vicious cycle in /jp/ when something new becomes 'hip and trendy' but later loses its flavor of the month.

Pretty soon, these 'unofficial' OC threads will become the new 'official' ones and the cycle repeats itself. I'm fine with OP making threads like this, but at least use an OC picture for the OP post, not something found in /c/ or danbooru.

Hey, OC guys here.

Got a noob question:

I see alot of CG's where the character outlines arent just black or in any single-colour, but are seemingly "dynamic", with darker/shadow parts having dark-coloured outlines which seamlessly shifts into lighter-coloured outline-sections for the brighter parts.

Anyone know how these CG artists do this in SAI? (I pressume they use SAI)

Is there a function where I can add colour transitions within vectors or outlines? Or are these just very well hand-drawn outlines?

I'm writing a Visual novel in renpy about arranged marriage spawned from two companies merging and old traditions from two separate cultures finding similarities in one another. When I first started to write it, shit was unbiased, but the further I get into it I feel like I'm writing it for myself ;_;
Main Character is American with roots in India, Main heroine is the heir to a Car Zaibatsu. I don't want it to be a harem, but more of the difficulty of how both the characters overcome the sanctions of child marriage in modern day society.
