It just occured to me as to the reason why ZUN Dosn't claim copyright is because he isn't aiming for sony or for top of the gaming industry but for enough to buy the Yatsugatake mountain range and lake suwa so he can construct Gensokyoland.

think about it. disneyland but in japan. Donation box machines rides and IRL damaku play with ZUN as its supreme overlord and ruler.
