I believe this is Tsubasa, uploaded by some people who have uploaded Umineko games in the past. Legit, someone already started on it.They said the first story is Bernkastel's letter, after that is some text from Ronove, then a poem from Frederica Bernkastel. When you finish it, it unlocks the other stories, 15 in total.
Posting since I saw a lot of people that were interested in it.

Amusing. This entire discussion happens every time a story with an unclear end happens. There are three camps.

People are ok with the ending, people who wanted the series to end in a different way and who flip out over it, and people who totally love the ending and relentlessly mock the people who got pissed at the story.

Even your arguments are the same. There's always some n00b arguing that the canon really was ripped of from source X (not understanding that stories often have similarities - everything has been done, originality doesn't exist), that the author's suddenly a hack, someone arguing that all their time was wasted, and so on.

Always the same, regardless if it's a series of novels, a TV series, or a "game". Never change, people, never change.

>> No.6735836

So what makes EP8 the "real" event anyways? Because it shows Touya, who wrote previous tales?

Didn't you guys also think EP3 was "what really happened" because EP4 showed the future and the 2 previous tales....
then it changed to EP6 was "What really really happened" because Touya wrote previous tales...
and again EP7 became the "What really really happen, it's the truth!" because Bern says it's the truth....

And now, you guys are using the same fucking thought process for EP8. So what's next? EP9/Rei comes out in C80 and it will become the next "WHAT REALLY REALLY HAPPENED, FINAL VERSION"?!

Ryukishi's writing style:
>make a few arcs with interesting concepts, but also some boring and seemingly irrelevant parts
>suddenly drop all previous concepts and start focusing on the boring things
>DURR, THE FORESHADOWING WAS THERE, WHY ARE YOU COMPLAINING
It was ok in Higurashi since it was usually executed well, but then he started making cheap strawmen like Erika just to make fun of people who liked his previous concepts. He's nothing but a pathetic hack who blames his own faults on his audience.

I understand this perfectly, especially with a media like eroge.

>Doing anything else means you're a goat.

Come on, the game doesn't say that. The game is fine with you having different ideas. You're just a goat if you flip out and try to smash people who have different ideas, or can't accept other ideas existing even if they aren't your favorite. This means you're not actually thinking about the ideas you have, and refuse to even consider different view points, putting you to the level of a goat. Fitting.

The ending is truly bittersweet.

We all expected a happy ending where the murders were prevented, and everyone goes on living happily ever after, right? Sadly it is not meant to be.

Ryukishi07 may have had an alternative ending like Higurashi, where all the relatives banded together to find and stop the culprit in one final grand episode. But when BT passed on, he realized something.

When people die, they stay dead. That is the truth.

There is no alternative. Otherwise, it truly is just fantasy.

However, he could not simply crush the series that his dear friend BT supported for all those years, so he wrote Episode 8 as it is now.

Battler survives. He continues to write as Hachijou to piece his memories back together. He continues to write to ultimately find the truth, that horrible truth in October 1986 on Rokkenjima. The truth that almost all of his relatives are dead, and will stay dead.

Relatively, Ryukishi07 lives on to write When They Cry, even when his best friend is dead. His best friend will not come back, but lives on in his memories and in the writing of When They Cry. If he does not write, BT will never forgive him.

It may be such a bitter ending to most people.

However,

"In a world filled with love and deception, the truth is always bittersweet."

Well, okay, so the plot then would be that someone (possibly with mental issues?) is dreaming up possible scenarios, none of which are truly real? This seems kind of strange to me, though, so I wonder if I'm still misunderstanding something. Kyrie/Rudolf figured out the Epitaph far earlier than Yasu had expected, so she didn't have to even begin to start her murder plan.
The two then stole the gold, put in on a boat, and started to kill everyone. To make sure Battler would be loyal, they told him to kill Shannon. Obviously, he couldn't do this, so Shannon faked her death and he eventually ran away with her to the submarine. Kyrie/Rudolf died in a standstill with Rosa, and Battler/Shannon escaped. Eva waited in the Kuwadorian, survived the explosion, and took care of Ange.
Shannon then, out of guilt for making this happen, killed herself, and Battler tried to stop her. Somehow he got amnesia, and I suppose from game 2 and on, it was him trying to figure out what happened on the island.

If Yasu was really the culprit, what of the 'There are only X people on the island.' red truths found in Arcs 1-4?
